Australia showed their champion qualities there, but jeez this has been a good test. More of them in women's cricket, please (ideally with NZ getting one - would be gutting for a couple of our ATGs in Bates and Devine to retire without ever playing this format).

Ever played a game of cricket mate? Generally how things go.

I know Ecclestone did the bulk of the work but I thought Kate Cross was the pick of the bowlers for England yesterday.
The ball that bowled Litchfield seamed back an incredible amount

Warne like delivery

No we reviewed it, and about 1% of the ball was hitting leg stump but because the on field decision was out, the decision stood. I'm not sure the ball would actually removed the bails.

Also the Heather Knight LBW was umpires call for impact, although in fairness, it did look out in real time.

But 2 marginal decisions went against us.
There's been a lot of dubious LBW decisions in this game IIRC, I think three or four got overturned in the English 1st innings alone. These umpires seem very trigger-happy.

EDIT: Having now seen the Lamb decision yeah that just shouldn't be given out IMO. Really unlucky.

The umpiring has been of a poor standard all game. And considering these are both English umpires, it would have been nice if they could've been a little bit more.....you know..... English. It's hard enough against this Aussie team at the best of times.

It's looking like the toss could be quite crucial too. England have battled hard, but missed key moments when they could've taken control. The Aussies going from 315-7 to 470 whilst England batting at 288-2 or 390-4 perhaps should have ended in 600, not 460.

I'm wondering how many times a team has lost with a double centurion and a 10fer in the side. Probably Sri Lanka with Murali at some point.

To be fair that's the difference between a normal, standard batting lineup and the monster of a lower order the Australians have rolled out.

I'm sorry, but if you don't think Ian Healy was an atg test wicket keeper then you probably have your head up your own arse. He was a genius
If you're just talking about his keeping, he was outstanding but keepers have to bat as well, and he averaged late 20's which is pretty average nowadays.

Back in the day we had Bob Taylor, probably the best keeper I've seen, but his batting was very limited. He only got into the test side when Knotty was banned for going to South Africa.
