***Official*** West Indies tour of Sri Lanka, November/December 2021

The issue is even on faster pitches, WI found SL attack handful. Especially when Lahiru Kumara played. On a seaming track, Lakmal, Chammera and Lahiru Kumara would be a daunting prospect if WI are playing batsmen on display. Unless Pooran and Hetmyer is played in that lineup (both will inconsistently, but spectacularly fire) it would get mauled by any half decent bowling attack.
Difference I guess is that I'd fancy us to roll over the Lankan batsmen in seaming conditions, just like Gabriel did in the Caribbean, only Seales is potentially more unplayable than roach and Gabriel. So it would be very close.

In these conditions I'd back Sri Lanka every time, winning the toss just makes it even harder.

I've had it in for Chase for ages - underperforming batsman numero uno in this WI side. If he wants to be valued for bowling instead then he can go bat at 8 and compete with the other spinners for a spot.
Yeah me too. I just don't understand how he keeps getting picked.

Some collapse this. Batting first against such a crap batting lineup means Sri Lanka are still in it, but after yesterday you would've assumed Sri Lanka bat West Indies out of the Test.

Well that was a surprise. Wonder what's the most wickets taken by left arm orthodox spinners in a test, as with two in each side there could be quite a tally...

Rahkeem is semi overrated honestly
Keeps getting outbowled by Chase whenever they play together. One obviously wants the 'proper' spinner to do well and be the first choice but Cornwall has looked mostly innocuous tbh. Was pumped as anyone for his debut.
