Pakistan last lost a Test to WI at home in 90s . This is a very poor strategy. This backfired for IND against NZ and it backfired for Pakistan. Asian Team should start preparing 2004-2017 type wickets where opposition spinners have to earn their wickets .

England shot themselves in the foot by picking a rookie spinner in Bashir , he averaged over 40 in that series which cost England badly
Yeah, imo these wickets do nothing more than to make ordinary spinners look above average (take nothing away from current spinners). Plus players nowadays suck at playing spinners; generally.
I dont think we have had rank turners in India either except Pune 2017, and probably Pune and Mumbai 2024. Ahmedabad in 2021 was more due to pink ball effect on a regular track that aids spin. But yeah, with T20 effect as well, batsmen are just not able to manage tracks that aid bowlers around the world, so most teams should try to optimize their strength and prepare reasonable wickets where their batsmen can also have a say. Aus almost fell for it too as Sydney could well have gone India's way with better captaincy and MCG had been a draw like most normal teams would have managed in that last session there.
In 'pindi in particular, England let Sajid and Noman score runs when the game was in the balance and instead they shipped a more than handy first innings deficit. Leach and Bashir were poor in that game. Both were ok in the second Multan test but way off the level of the Pakistan spinners.
