- Rovman Powell named captain. He was dropped from the last few ODIs because he can't play spin. He has never captained in his life.
- Darren Bravo is back in his weakest format.
- Roston Chase recalled after a decent list a tournament
- Nicholas Pooran dropped yet Kieron Powell retained. Pooran dominated the List A tournament and the recent t10. Powell has done absolutely nothing.

That's because most large countries can produce sufficient talent in major sports, and at youth level there is very little refinement going on. The strength of a country's sport infrastructure is taking these young raw talents and making them ready for international level.

West Indies clearly has a load of young talent, they just utterly fail at utilising it.

Yeah this is definitely true. You only have to look at how Jofra Archer has blossomed since making the move to England to see how poorly the emerging talent in the region is managed and supported.

There's no test world cup.

Only T20 and ODI world cups.

Before this happens...this has to take place

The top 8 ranked teams in a specific time frame are automatically included in the world cup. 2 spots remaining to make it a 10 team WC.

A WC qualifying tournament that involved lesser ranked teams (9-15 I think) took place in March of this year. Windies and Afghanistan were able to qualify..

There was a qualification tournament featuring the 10 teams ranked 9-18. The finalists qualified for the World Cup.

Good for wI because Roman is Live wire right now yesterday his 25 ball 61 gave Northern Warrior T10 final victory vs Shahid Afridis Pakhtoons
He scored 177 in T10 with 226 strike rate.

You need successful captain who can sets example to their team.

Rovman Powell scored 51 in 5 innings vs India in ODI yet Mr Brown assumes he carry forward his t10 form in to ODI too ( this is the prime reasons India,WI not doing good in over seas test cricket, no way you selects your team with the form of Other Format)( k Rahul's IPL 2018 FORM keep him in the team for nothing, he hits 150 odd once otherwise he was total failure)

For a long time now our selections have defied logic. Common sense thinking is non-existent. This selection panel needs to go. Our results probably wont improve but at least we'll behave with more logic and put our best foot forward.

Where do the rankings come from? Is it computerized? Is it like college football -- based on polling? Is it like tennis, golf and NASCAR -- accumulated points obtained in specified events?

Does the system take into account things like players who are injured or just recovered from injury, as with NCAA basketball?

In the practice game pace is going the distance and Tamim smacked it to all parts. Rovman has given Chase a whole bunch of overs also. Very odd.

Nice to see Hope and Chase get some quick runs though. Looks like Allen finally got some time in the middle also. He needs to bat higher.
