Australia should have scheduled the 1st Test againts the windies at Perth this season, if the W.A.C.A is anything like it was last season, with the likes of Edwards, Lawson, Best & Powell charging at them  well....... that could have been very interesting indeed.

I agree with Dinu , Mahela needs to be dropped at least as punishment for his irresponsible batting ! So he can go back and have a little think about cricket and life in general and come back a more reformed and responsible batsman. :@

To think that Sri Lankan cricket is promoting this guy as the next Captain while he continues to bat as irresponsibly as he does is all the more puzzling !!

I would strip his vice captaincy and give it to Chaminda Vaas , a chap who always strives to give his best to his team with Bat or Ball !!

yeah Jason. I remember him performing badly in my mind. but when I checked the stats for his last 20 Test matches he averages over 48! It must be the ODIs I have in mind.

Your opinion of Gayan Wijekoon? He's done well as a change seamer, but didn't do much with the bat. I haven't seen footage of him in action.

Mahela was finding it very tough in the middle out in the middle and the WI pacies were giving him a rough workout. The conditions were also helping the ball nip about. Mahela has been very frustrating player to watch and thrown his wicket awey many times before ..... but on this occation I think he really tried.

I am more mad at Sangakkara for his stupid dismissal ....

I can't belive it myself that Sangakkarra managed to get out to him after bowling so horribly.

West Indies all out for 113, Murali gets 6 and Vaas gets 4, Chanderpaul just misses out on a 50 with 48 not out. Hopefully we can finish them off without losing too many wickets.

Sri Lanka 43/2, 2 wickets fell consecutively in the 8th over with the score at 34. Helped to bring Windies back into the fray.

Lawson gets Samaraweera with a beauty, 37 to win looks easy for SRI but their is some iffy looking batting to come
