Most runs Gayle has managed in a day is 184 against South Africa in 2005, the same innings where he went onto to score 300 and Mark Boucher and AB de Villiers took wickets.

Wish I could watch this.

I'm liking the anchoring role that Junior Bravo is showing here. Shows he has a bit of patience and the right temperament (or he could be massively battling??)

This looks so much better than the Pak vs SA match in Dubai. Gayle is playing a gem here. By the way according to Migara this new pitch was supposed to be bowler friendly. What happened?

Gayle seems to be playing for the close, that despite 20+ overs still being left in the day.

Not exactly aesthetically pleasing batting though, at least since Barath got out. IMO anyway, of course.
What about Darren Bravo??? I hear his playing style resembles that of Lara. Shouldn't his style of play be aesthetically pleasing??? 300 up for windies :)

Was scratching around on a flat pitch when I was watching it; wasn't very aesthetically pleasing at all. If you want to talk about scoring rates, he's scoring a lot slower than Kallis and Amla were. :p
