Its been really good to see. I like a strong WI, and I want SA to be challenged as much as possible. This is a ****ing good partnership between Reifer and Blackwood , this West Indies side came to play good cricket , since the third session of day 1 they have been the better team .
He debuted not that long ago as a bowling allrounder at #8.WI’s no3 is a 31 year old that has ONE first class hundred in 86 games
Some players are better than their averages suggests talent wise , like take for example Alzarri Joseph , today was the first time he got a 5for in test cricket which is unbelievable considering the natural attributes he possess.WI’s no3 is a 31 year old that has ONE first class hundred in 86 games
The difference is that Joseph has a good record in FC cricket to back up his obvious talents. At the moment its a "vibes" pick. Like Jansen at 7.Some players are better than their averages suggests talent wise , like take for example Alzarri Joseph , today was the first time he got a 5for in test cricket which is unbelievable considering the natural attributes he possess.
Lacks brains wtf? Gets paid to play international cricket for a living. What have you achieved in life that compares?Lacks brains. It took him several years just to stop bowling everything from the edge of the crease and he still struggles to plan anything. Rather Jerome Taylor-eqsue in that regard.
Well he's West Indies best batsman in the match , before Reifer they had a no.3 called Nkrumah Bonner who has a terrible FC average but helped West Indies to a series win vs England ..Devon Conway had a terrible FC average at Franchise level ..He'd walk into our test side right now though , it's not always straightforward to look at stats and judge a player..maybe he played the majority of his fc career as a bowling allrounder , maybe he had issues that the coaching at domestic level couldnt fix , who knows..The difference is that Joseph has a good record in FC cricket to back up his obvious talents. At the moment its a "vibes" pick. Like Jansen at 7.
But I'm saying at the time , he had a fc average around 26..you don't expect a batsman of that quality to get two test hundreds ..He even got dropped from the Jamaican team at one point ..Bonner isn’t great. Lucky to miss out on this series. Can’t play the short ball.
Jeez you're precious. Might as well try the question back on you, dickhead.Lacks brains wtf? Gets paid to play international cricket for a living. What have you achieved in life that compares?
Not too long ago we picked Shayne Moseley as our opening batsman (whose FC average was 22 or 23) over Tage (whose average was higher.)WI’s no3 is a 31 year old that has ONE first class hundred in 86 games
He was a vital cog with both bat and ball, in our FC team during the 5 years we won 5 consecutive regional titles. He debuted not that long ago as a bowling allrounder at #8.
I really like him as a resourceful cricketer and I half-seriously suggested he open the batting in Tests pre-Tage, but yeah he shouldn't be batting 3. Gun utility, nothig more.
