I can't! It'll affect our ranking on the ICC Test Championship!

Oh, that's right.

I don't really care about it that much.

Yes, but Marshall shouldn't even be going to South Africa as far as I'm concerned. His last score over 25 was the 160... in May 2005. If he does go, he better only go as a backup middle order batsman, not a starting opener.

Wishful thinking there Bob, we all know what Bracewell thinks of the guy.

With the lack of Test cricket that we play, is it fair to suddendly throw a Papps, Sinclair in there for the tour?

I wouldn't mind either. But Bracewell says Sinclair is a, er, middle-order batsman... go figure. His perception of Marshall, Sinclair AND Vincent is all screwed up.

I'd open with Vincent and either How or one of Papps / Sinclair. Alternatively if he's really smart, he'll give Vincent a stint in the middle order where he belongs.

I thought it was unfair that Vincent was not in the test team, but if you are to put him in the middle order, who will you leave out? Only batsmen IMO that are in trouble are the two openers. I think Peter has three sewn up, and they aren't likely to drop Fleming, Styris, or Astle in the next little while.

I reckon leave out How. I'm still not sure he's good enough. I'd be happy with any opening combo made up from Vincent, Sinclair, or Papps.

Only 2 more innings for Lara to stand up. I really hope he gets a big score.
Lara usually saves the best for last but I also expect Chanderpaul to make some runs

It is forecast to rain everyday and it probably is going to. A bit of a bummer but thats the risk they take playing tests so late in the summer.

Hello from McLean Park! The umpires have just decided that there will be no play at all this morning because of the very wet outfield. They will go out for another look at 12:30pm.

You're at the ground, and you decided the most exciting thing to do was post on Cricket Web?

Well, I'm perched on top of a camera tower with nothing better to do! :D LOL Surfing the Net aint a bad way to kill time, especially when you're still being paid. ;)

Cam 7, are we likely to see any play today?
Well, I can't see that the outfield is going to dry out very much in the next two to three hours... it is an absolute bog in places. The sun is out at the moment, but it will take more than just a couple of hours of sunshine to dry the outfield.

There are still a lot of dark clouds hovering around the park, too! I think if we get any more rain before play starts, there won't be any play at all today.

See if you can find a random microphone and mutter "can't bowl, can't throw" into it as Chris Martin fires a return in from the boundary.
