First ball @3pm. They're gonna rope off the worst of the boggy areas... which is gonna make for a very short mid-wicket boundary!

Hours of play...

15:00 - 16:30
16:50 - 18:30

47 overs minimum (yeah, right!).

Gayle out, pathetic batting.

He made 30 off 27 balls, sure it's entertaining but come on, it's a Test match, it was just a matter of time before one of his loose shots was going to get him out.

Exciting - Lara promoted to three, off the mark first ball with a two clipped off his legs.

Lol Lara almost out first ball to Bond again... well not almost, but for a moment it looked like the ball was going to carry to Chris Martin at fine leg, who wouldn't have caught it anyway.

I hate watching Ganga, so boring.

Lara lucky not to be given out LBW last over off Astle, glad he's still out there though.

I don't mind if a player bats slowly to score runs for his team but Ganga bats slowly and only averages 23 in tests. He'd be better off going out there, playing some shots and getting out for 40, then getting out for 30 from 100 balls.

West Indies always seem to be able to get off to a goodish start... 26 on the board off the first 5 overs.
It's Chris Gayle - I remember one knock when WI were miles behind and he came out with 80 from 40odd balls - was it 5 or 6 fours in a row off Hoggard?

I remember that one...the match where Bell made his debut I think. It was 6 fours in one Hoggard over, and he eventually made 100 off 80odd balls.

Ganga gone. Bowled by Bond for 38 from 104 balls. I would have sent Chanderpaul in but out comes Morton.

Lara on a rampage. Gets his half century. Could be a big hundred now.
32.4 Franklin to Lara, FOUR!!, cuts it to square third man, in the air but over the top of gully, three boundaries on the trot
32.3 Franklin to Lara, FOUR!!, half volley and Lara drives it to extra cover, he was in total control of that shot, now that is Lara
32.2 Franklin to Lara, FOUR!!, slightly wide and Lara cuts it to deep backward point, it was a one handed shot suggesting he wasn't truly in control of that shot, that is very unlike Lara
