Current Partnership: 15 runs, 12.3 overs, RR: 1.20

Their plan is to obviously block everything that comes down!

I don't think that is going to help them much. Only option they have is to get 150+ ahead and give us a bit of a go. Fleming on the pitch today?

Vettori's bowling average is now the lowest it has been since October 2003 - 34.37. Just saying.
I'm really hoping he can nudge it under 30. I get tired of people pointing at his average and claiming he's rubbish.

I don't think that will happen. He would basically have to avg mid 20's for the rest of his career to do that. He nearly has 2000 runs too! 1944 and counting. As long as he doesn't balloon back over 35 I will be happy. I think it will end up around 32.67. Probably.

His batting average is still going up and up as well. At one point it was only 13.31, now it's up to 24. Nice.

If someone weighs 150kg and drops to 145kg its nice but it don't make them skinny. Just saying

Talk about celebrating mediocraty.

Yea Dan has been working hard on his batting in the last 2 years or so. I've seen him in the nets back home in between international fixtures working away at his batting.

He might have mediocre stats, but he's the best we have (spinner), and he is getting better IMO. And sure Vettori's average isn't great, but your 150 kg argument to 145 kg would be the following in equivalent...

Average of 30 dropping to 29
Average of 35 dropping to 33.83

etc

My point that his average was dropping was a reflection on his improvement. Not a celebration at all actually.

Only just saw Lewis' bowling figures. Good reading for Dave Mohammed fans, but how did he actually bowl?

Vettori - 14 overs - 1 for 19. Funny.
and by the way, the reason that was funny was because the Windies batsman seem to be giving Vettori more respect than he gets on these forums.

Another wicket
75.6 Mills to Chanderpaul, OUT: Seven down! short delivery on the off
stump, angled away from the left-hander, Chanderpaul tries to
punch on the back-foot, ball finds the edge and straight to
Fleming at first slip
