Did you forget the part where Kiwi groundsmen were caught watering the pitch late in the night BEFORE the Indian innings in one of the tests ? And no,it wasnt the 'first innings of the match' either.
Obviously I have forgotten - can't recall any such incident, although it seems that sirjeremy might.

I will, however undeline my previous point that it makes no sense to sabotage the pitches with a World Cup campaign approaching and the need to draw decent crowds. Such a move could only be counterproductive.

It seems a bit arrogant on the part of Indian fans and players to assume that NZ reserves this special treatment for them - we have hosted much better, less self-destructive teams than India without resorting to these "tactics".

Aaaahhhhh nooooooooo Bond's not playing!!!

Woke up with a virus and so it would be too risky to play him according to Fleming.

I heard on the radio this morning that this test makes Stephen Fleming the 2nd longest serving test captain in the world only to Allan Border. I was half asleep though and didn't hear the whole thing. How many tests has Stephen Fleming captained and how many did Allan Border captain?

Yeah! What is with Eden Park? It is a portable pitch using, presumably, the same technology as Jade and the Cake Tin, so why can't it be just as good? Imagine if that pitch was good with those boundaries, some of the scores that would be made there! Now if only they could get a crowd to fill the 40000 seats...
Yeah, I don't get it. I know the weather's a lot more humid up there, but I'm not sure how much difference that might make.

Probably something to do with having more tests than he does test wickets under his belt.
Maybe so, but if that's the case, why select him? He can hardly be worse than Martin though, can he?

Yeah. Windies won the toss and NZ are bowling first. I have a bad feeling about this game. I don't think Lara will make 5 and 0 anyway. Glad Rawl Lewis got a game :)

Yeah, I'm following on cricbuzz, updates faster... but as to how well they're doing, only a person watching can really say, I'd imagine.
