Superb bowling.

Southee and Boult have the ball on a string this morning.

Two wickets in the first half-hour - fab. Couldn't have wished for a better start.

Oh God. Well bowled Southee. has to be said Marlon looked so vulnerable in that innings.

All we had to do was survive the first hour. Apparently that was too much. This has been such a depressing few weeks for West Indies fans. Narsingh, please give us something to smile about.

Southee just keeps taking wickets on the flattest decks in world cricket. Averaging below 22 for over a year now.

That lbw looked like it was missing live. Lbws that just nick the pads always seem to be not out, probably because the pad knee flap thing is usually wider than the leg itself, so if the leg is on off the shout looks better than it is.

Boult pitched it on middle, it carried on with the angle, hit Marlon middle on off stump. It was only just missing the off stump, but it showed a lack of cricketing logic. The ball didn't come back at the batsman and from the angle Boult was bowling at and the length the ball pitched at, it would have to come back at the batsman to be hitting the stumps.

He was so hit so far back in his crease though so the ball had a sparrow's fart to travel. Definitely not a shocker imo. If an NZ batsman was pinned like that I'd be shouting at them to get the **** on their way, really was an insanely good review.

Deonarine isn't going to die wondering is he?

Disagree with Smith. If nagging the umpires to change the ball helps us win the game, then we should do it. It's no different to the psychological hold some great sides like the most recent Australian world beaters had over the umpires. Requesting a ball change is within the rules, and the umpires are quite within their rights to test the ball through those circle things.

Agreed. It's up to the umpires to man up, uphold the rules and spirit of cricket and tell the players to shut up if they think they are doing it for tactical reasons rather than the ball being genuinely out of shape.

Our team is the best in the world at getting the umpire to change the ball. SL were Jelly of us.
