Indeed all gun players have had a 2/3 year period where they have averaged well over 70 in their career. Ross needs a purple patch.Yeah, it's very good, although still a long way below the leading players like Chanders, Clarke and Amla (all around the 80 mark).
I would just like to see New Zealand having to get us out tbh. In India too many of the wickets were giveaways (caught at long off, caught at backward point, stumped by a mile etc). If someone gets out to a pretty decent piece of bowling with the new ball, then fair do's. But getting caught at long off when the ball has gone soft will be unacceptable here. What are we looking to see from WI in terms of a show here? I would think they would like to bat hard all day tomorrow and blunt the NZ attack with a view to an honourable draw. What is the history of this ground in terms of the pitch breaking up late?.
Wasn't aware of that. That's fantastic.Incidentally, tomorrow could be a pretty cool day in our history. Shiv is only 37 runs away from the 11,000 mark. What a superstar, go on tiger!
Really good. Especially when you take into account the whole captaincy saga he went through within this period.Ross averaging 54 in the last two years - today's innings a major average booster obvs...

Hit on the back leg in front of off, looked absolutely dead in real-time. Hawkeye showed it going on with the angle as it didn't come back in at all. Most umps would've given it but a good review.Great start to the day. I am listening to the radio coverage so didn't see the LBW appeal, but Coney and Waddle seemed completely bamboozled by the decision being overturned - and after the dismissal they stopped talking about it. What was the story?
