Not a FLAT wicket. Not a ultra-mediocre attack. Hope you were awake when TENDULKAR (the vice captain) scored - ZERO !Haha crap, I fell asleep for the last portion. Just woke up to see that India won.
What a genius !

That made me scratch my head too. In the last 10 ODI, he averages 20.Vengsarkar rubbished suggestions on Tendulkar's form, saying, "Lets not talk about Tendulkar, He is a great player, one of the best in the world. And it is not as if he has not been scoring runs."
What a joke. Colonel, I hope you are not serious.
same here! i thought we needed to win these tight games...although u could also say that we are always lacking something...sometimes its the bowling and then its the batting. It all depends on how u want to look at it.What a win... really happy after a series of disappointments.
i agree with u! How the hell can u call him back! He's just gonna fail agin! Hope im wrong!Pathan is called back......
He had one decent FC game...surely thats not enough to be called back?
I can fairly well predict when the West Indies are going to lose chasing an achievable score.I thought you were being facetious.
i think their plan is to hold off till the world cup...if his slump continues or if india fares badly or both, i think he might be asked to step aside....Vengsarkar rubbished suggestions on Tendulkar's form, saying, "Lets not talk about Tendulkar, He is a great player, one of the best in the world. True, but I think it was one of those "shut up media, I don't want to talk about this" statements from Vengsarkar.Vengsarkar rubbished suggestions on Tendulkar's form, saying, "Lets not talk about Tendulkar, He is a great player, one of the best in the world. His previous match was decent, this one was good. Joginder Sharma really blew it and assuming Pathan maintains decent form, he may never get a call-up again.Pathan is called back......

With some guys, you can just tell they don't belong. Mind you, I'm not saying that about Joginder Sharma.I know he didn't look good but if he's good enough to be picked, you need to show faith and give him a fair shot. Something like five games. It does no good to jettison guys after one game.
I know what you're saying, but if you're going to treat this solely as a preparation for the WC, then sit out Dravid and play them both. Find out what you have in him, instead of using one game as a benchmark of his potential. With some guys, you can just tell they don't belong. Mind you, I'm not saying that about Joginder Sharma.
He deserves another chance but Pathan is experienced and somewhat proven at this level so it's better to test his form with only six matches to go.
I would have persisted with Joginder for two more matches to see what he's got. Pathan doesn't need more than a few matches to settle in if he's in form.silentstriker said:I know what you're saying, but if you're going to treat this solely as a preparation for the WC, then sit out Dravid and play them both. Yes, with some guys you can tell but not usually in a single game, especially on that pitch. There are multitude of reasons why someone would have a bad game and they may actually be very class players. I don't know if Sharma is crap or not, but if you had faith enough to pick him for international cricket, then give him a shot.
Bangladesh or Australia? One of them saw Gagandeep getting screwed and the same happened to Dheeraj Jadhav on the other occasion.silentstriker said:]Thats why it infuriated me when they picked Gagandeep Singh, and after not playing a single game...off he went home.
Which one ? 2007 or 2011 ?i think their plan is to hold off till the world cup...if his slump continues or if india fares badly or both, i think he might be asked to step aside....
You do realize that Sharma has been dropped right? Let's live in the real world.Go in with the following, test out people's form for the WC:
Sachin
Gambhir
Ganguly
Yuvraj
Karthik
Dhoni
Pathan
Sharma
Agarkar
Harbhajan Singh
Zaheer Khan
BTW, this lineup bats until nine, and even #10 can contribute.
Looking at how he has bowled in last one year, I think he needs to play an entire season of domestic cricket to be even considered for Team India.Pathan doesn't need more than a few matches to settle in if he's in form.
