YESS! Shiv bowled.

Thank you NZ, and thank you India. You may not be able to bat, but your opponents batted even worse.

Game, good go by the West Indies but after Gayle went it was always going to be tough. Back up bowlers let them down earlier though, wheels fell off whilst Smith and Bravo were bowling and the likely score of 120 all out suddenly elevated drastically.

Karthik or AA for MOTM?

I'd give it to AA for the sheer ridiculousness of him scoring when no one expected a single run from the man.

Good win to India, the bowlers kept their nerve and the target just got out of hand for poor Chanderpaul - was probably asking too much by the start of the 48th, really. Looked to be a really good innings though. Jono collects again. :)

Or bowling well though personally I would give it to Dinesh Karthik, played beautifully. His been a good addition to the side.

For MOM - The fast bowler for mine. What's his name? His first ball was crap enough to cause a wicket and then he mis fielded again for another Windies run out. If it was not for him, this game could well have been West Indies'.

You mean Joginder Sharma right?

Disappointed he didn't have too good a game, but ah well, he'll always be a gun in International Cricket Captain for me.

Can someone explain why Harbhajan batted ahead of AA and Powar? Quick runs weren't needed so I see no need for Harbhajan to bat higher, and I thought Powar was a bowling all-rounder, or at minimum a bowler who could bat a bit? What's he doing batting at 10?

Karthik picks up the Man-of-the-Match award for his 87-ball 63, a great resurrection act, and he'd doused in water and Gatorade as he collects his cheque and little trophy. Arun Lal slips up and refers to him as Dinesh Mongia! All is well, and a soaked Karthik beams as he expresses his satisfaction at chipping in with another good effort his side, especially since he's far from a regular in the side. He praises Agarkar for his cool head and ability to capitalise on bad balls
FFS Arun Lal!

The other guy was worse..something like "Zaheer has got his line right, earlier he was bowling too short"!!

AA hadn't passed 25 in his last 44 matches.

Powar, Agarkar and Harbhajan are all handy lower-order batsmen. Powar is a 7/8, Harbhajan is a 8/9 and Agarkar is a 8/9 IMO.
The difference is that Harbhajan regularly makes contributions at the highest level, Agarkar shows up once in a blue moon and Powar hasn't really had much of an opportunity.
