**Official** West Indies in England 2012

Surely Narine just takes Shillingford's spot, and Gabriel (if fit) or Edwards comes in for Roach. Mind you, the way things are going with some of their selection, wouldn't be surprised to see them use two spinners in England.
Yep the attack is likely to be..

Sammy
Narine
Rampaul
Edwards or Best

Barath has just been so disappointing
He's been utter garbage and i don't wanna see either him or Powell near the team when NZ come to town, Kraigg may not be the free flowing machine that the greats of our past were, but the boy knows how to stick around and that's what we need right now, he's got 50s in his last three series so there is talent there, i just hope the hard work he's been putting in lately will pay off when he plays for the A-team over this next month, he gets a ton or two then it will be Gayle and Kraigg opening against NZ imo.

Narine will just be a straight swap for Shillingford, surely? Two specialist spinners in a four man attack in the early English summer would be an extremely brave call. Especially when Samuels can send down a few overs of off-spin to fill in.

If he's fit I'd imagine Fidel will come in, although he wasn't very impressive at Lords. Might yet see Tino back.

Hope to see some changes to the top six too; only really Shiv and Samuels have stood up so far.

Gayle and Brathwaite would be a good pair as well as the fact Gayle scores quickly will relieve the pressure on Brathwaite to get on with it.

Yep that's my thinking, all along the kid has been forced to bat with fellow youngsters, put him alongside someone with experience and i think he would be much better, all depends on how he does in this A-team series though, he scores runs then he's a shoe in to face NZ, then the only question mark will be about whether Kirk Edwards should stay in the team or not.

I think in terms of his talent, he should stay in the team. He will have hopefully learnt from the trip despite the fact he has spent about 20 minutes at the crease the whole tour. I don't think he will be a 50-averaging batsman, and the same goes for Bravo, but they seem comfortably better than anyone else WI can turn to.

3 ducks in last three tests and average of 14 in five innings against Aus would suggest otherwise. Brathwaite doesn't have the game at present to score sufficient runs against international attacks. Barath and Powell neither have the game to score runs in England but could be average openers back in the Caribbean. Powell looks like he could be decent value on a road against a pop gun attack.

Barath just doesn't have respect for fielders. Hits far too many of his runs behind square on the off-side, and happy to try and hit them in the air.

Totally disagree, for a start he's got 50s against both India and Australia, so he does know how to score runs at international level, the lad just had a bad spell, sh/t happens, Strauss and Bell had a torrid time against Pak and SL but now everything seems fine with them and i'd like to think Kraigg could score some runs against the likes of NZ at home,

He's come out of the spotlight and by all accounts he's been working hard behind the scenes to sharpen up a few things, question his scoring all you like but defensively and concentration wise he's right up there with Shiv IMO, we'll see how he gets on this weekend for the a-team i guess,

i just think he'd compliment Gayle well, too many times we're finding ourselves 30/3 in the first 10 overs, it's not good enough, with Kraigg and Gayle up top i'm willing to bet that that trend stops.

But Strauss and Bell have proven track records over a number of years and domestic form to back it up.

Everyone scores against India and against Australia the pitches robbed the Australians main bowlers of any sort of real life.

If you want to compliment Gayle with an opening partner try getting Chanderpaul to open for his final few years, god knows he's been facing the new ball most of the time anyway.

Hussey's batted at 5 for ages, from what we've sen so far its looks like Swann's giving him the most bother when he faces him, the Windies top order isn't strong enough to be facing the new ball with much success so as far as I can see putting in the only player who looks capable of surviving it at the top means the WIndies might still have some batting left to come when he goes.

Don't need to have much of a game to be a handy test cricketer, just ask Mark Richardson - the guy made a career out of a cover drive and a forward defense. I havent seen a lot of Braitwaite but his resistance against Australia was impressive to say the least and his temperament and technique are well ahead of any of his rivals for the same spot

Wait, did I miss something? I don't think KB resisted at all against Australia.
