That always comes back and bites me in the butt.Dasa said:Where are.
That doesn't make it right. They are the big offenders at the moment IMO.SquidAU said:And the Aussies aren't the only ones that appeal "ridiculously"...all teams do it, particularly in the 3rd and 4th innings
Congrats, we have a winner!SquidAU said:I never said it made the game fair. I just pointed out that the Aussies aren't the only ones that do it, which is what you were alluding to.
I am not sure of that.What-A-Player said:Papaji, thats why they are getting away with it for a long time,
.........Coz noone talks abt it
Offcourse, isn't that highlghted coz a Rama or Abdul is involved. But when Johnny, Mark, Shane come in the story..there's only 1 reply " Oh, these boys will be boys" slap on the wrist..and don't do it againSJS said:I am not sure of that.
Everyone talks about it. This forum is full of threads and posts on the subject.
We talk about it amongst cricketing friends all the time. Just like people used to talk about 'cheating' by umpires in the sub-continent and in NZL in the past
Yes people do talk about it. Sometimes because it is true and sometimes because they lose but mostly its a combination of the two.
Not me!!!SJS said:And they (whosoever they may be) will continue to get away with it until people complain about bad umpiring (not biased umpiring) EVEN WHEN IT HELPS THEIR TEAM !!
As long as we are selective in our complaining, we are going to keep getting tagged as whingers and "we" can mean Indians, Australians, West Indians, whoever.
As things stand today people complain when 'bad' umpiring hurts their team but when it hurts the opponents they talk philosophically about things evening out in the long run. AND EVERYONE DOES THAT.
Damn..u mumbaites were famous for selling stuf..a damn soul for so cheap! what a shame sardarji..never been so ashmed of a sardarSJS said:And they (whosoever they may be) will continue to get away with it until people complain about bad umpiring (not biased umpiring) EVEN WHEN IT HELPS THEIR TEAM !!

nope but who cares to be honest. that's simply it he's been reported... Nothing has been proven yet. when it is it'll be worth commenting about.greg said:Has anyone mentioned that Warne has been reported for dissent?
I just read that - it's hidden away in the bulletin for the day. Surprised there isn't a headline, perhaps it'll happen later in the day (or night, depending on your timezone). Been a long time coming, though.greg said:Has anyone mentioned that Warne has been reported for dissent?
maybe he should. nothing illegal, unfair or wrong about it.irfan said:yet again Aus get away with a bad decision. Maybe Sarwan should run down the pitch jumping and stamping his feet in the ground a la B Lee to lend weight to his appeal. Just a thought......
I never said it was right! Where did I say that?Blaze said:That doesn't make it right. They are the big offenders at the moment IMO.
The problem with the Aussies is not what they appeal for but their blatant refusal to accept the umpires decisions once they've gone against them.SquidAU said:I never said it was right! Where did I say that?
I was pointing out that the Aussies are not the only ones that do it!
