And the Aussies aren't the only ones that appeal "ridiculously"...all teams do it, particularly in the 3rd and 4th innings
That doesn't make it right. They are the big offenders at the moment IMO.

I never said it made the game fair. I just pointed out that the Aussies aren't the only ones that do it, which is what you were alluding to. :D
Congrats, we have a winner!

So you do admit that the Aussies do it and Infact get it ( the decisions ), now isnt that something mate. So isnt that getting luckier than other teams!

Not only today but in every damn match and its getting a bit too much. I mean it's not the team, its the damn umpiring.

Good for ya, christmas special..take a wicket, get one free..but it seems Aussies Enjoy such deals all around the year. Racism (SURE), Bias (SURE)..intimidation (JACKPOT)

Papaji, thats why they are getting away with it for a long time,
.........Coz noone talks abt it
I am not sure of that.

Everyone talks about it. This forum is full of threads and posts on the subject.

We talk about it amongst cricketing friends all the time. Just like people used to talk about 'cheating' by umpires in the sub-continent and in NZL in the past :p

Yes people do talk about it. Sometimes because it is true and sometimes because they lose but mostly its a combination of the two. :)

And they (whosoever they may be) will continue to get away with it until people complain about bad umpiring (not biased umpiring) EVEN WHEN IT HELPS THEIR TEAM !!

As long as we are selective in our complaining, we are going to keep getting tagged as whingers and "we" can mean Indians, Australians, West Indians, whoever.

As things stand today people complain when 'bad' umpiring hurts their team but when it hurts the opponents they talk philosophically about things evening out in the long run. AND EVERYONE DOES THAT.

Has anyone mentioned that Warne has been reported for dissent?
nope but who cares to be honest. that's simply it he's been reported... Nothing has been proven yet. when it is it'll be worth commenting about.

I just read that - it's hidden away in the bulletin for the day. Surprised there isn't a headline, perhaps it'll happen later in the day (or night, depending on your timezone). Been a long time coming, though.

just to add to the debate, Hayden was just caught off a stone-cold edge to slip and Dar didn't give it... hmmm

yet again Aus get away with a bad decision. Maybe Sarwan should run down the pitch jumping and stamping his feet in the ground a la B Lee to lend weight to his appeal. Just a thought......

I never said it was right! Where did I say that?

I was pointing out that the Aussies are not the only ones that do it!

The problem with the Aussies is not what they appeal for but their blatant refusal to accept the umpires decisions once they've gone against them.
