They were just showing footage of Ponting having a go at Powell and the umpires last night...I have to say, Ponting is one cricketer I have no respect for at all. His conduct when appealling, or with umpires and in general is disgraceful IMO. He's single-handedly brought back the reputation of the 'ugly Australian'...especially since the rest of the team is generally full of people who seem to be good blokes.

Yep, he thinks he is bigger than the game.

So dissapointing. The Windies had a 100 run lead with aussie 8 down and then they blow it and trail by 30 odd and then capitulate in thier second innings.

Bowden has to go.

This is getting beyond a joke. Clear inside edge from Dwayne Smith and the Umpire submits to Warne's yellin and screamin. Horrendous decision IMO

Now Dar makes a stinker.

What's going on seriously? I count like 6 shockers against the WI this series. For a side that is obviously inferior to Australia, that's making it even worse.

Whilst I share your sentiments, its been that way for years and their have been bowlers who bowl at speeds Lee gets past and present. No excuse.
Yes but umpires have never been under anywhere near as much scrutiny. That's the difference. Technological advanced have just brought to the fore that which has been the case for many years i.e. umpires making errors. Umpires and players have been saying for many, many years that accuracy in LBW's and catches behind have been compromised for the sake of a few millimetres. So it's time, I think, to remove the problem and either change the rule (unlikely) or make the calls automatic in the same way as tennis. The current situation has never been a satisfactory situation in my eyes but it's just magnified these days.

Exactly...at any rate, he's been getting LBWs from around the wicket as well, for which any umpire should instinctively be thinking 'not out'.
Now THAT I can't explain..........

That ball may have it the pad first but how is the umpire supposed to see that if it did hit at all. He's gotta be superhuman.

Glad I'm not behind him.

And half of those have been against Lara! It's a conspiracy I tells ya. :D

It's almost as if you're blaming Warne.

Any bowler is going up for that, did you watch the Poms in the Ashes?

The decisions in this series look good in comparison to that.

200+ ahead with three wickets in hand wouldn't look too bad on this pitch... um, shame the windies didn't manage that one then... 93 for the ninth wicket is a bit of a killer!

I know you're kidding, but its pretty damn irritating to see it happen so often in a series. Mainly the LBWs down legside. Thinking an edge is there when the bat actually hit the pad is fair enough, but when the ball is clearly down legside its shocking.

It turns me off cricket. As soon as Bowden gave his shocker I turned it off. I just hate seeing it time after time.

your overexaggerating that one, full speed it looked like pad before bat, its only on the replay it showed otherwise..

Top bowling performance from Bing in this series, he seems to be getting his act together. Now hopefully he will back it up for the SA series.

Oh my.

Where's the Grammar Police when you need them? :p

And the Aussies aren't the only ones that appeal "ridiculously"...all teams do it, particularly in the 3rd and 4th innings

The umpiring in the series (as in world cricket for some time now) has been terrible and thats a fact.

If Australia have had the better of it on average that cant be put down to bias. Its either pure chance or yielding to more pressure from the fielding side willing to exert it.

If Windies feel that way, all they can do is yell like hell and mourne at the greatest injustice in the world a-la-Shane if denied. There isnt much else that can be done as long as the standards are this bad in international umpiring.

Cribbing of bias wont get any one anywhere except earn a whingers tag.

Grammar Police? oh my..why is that..were u born short of few things?

Oh, so all team appeal "ridiculously" in the 3rd and the 4th Innings and that makes the game fair how? ( I'll tell u how, makes it fair for Bensen & Hedges/Fosters public like urs) Some damn conscience to reckon it and still damn snore in the night.

Ashesss...shooo.. (sorry I sneezed on something) 8-)

I never said it made the game fair. I just pointed out that the Aussies aren't the only ones that do it, which is what you were alluding to. :D
