Australia seems to think it is still the early 80s.Why exactly does WI get 3 tests in Aus? It's not like they have been a decent team for.. a good decade now.. I remember back when SL were peaking with Murali in the mid-2000s they still only got 2 tests in Cairns and Darwin..
Don't forget the umpiring conspiracies.Yep, right alongside conspiracy theories about Narine, claims that players who weren't available would've helped the team no end even though he kept calling for them to be dropped when they were playing, and randomly name-drops of young players who have played less than ten First Class games.
Sri Lanka have played in Melb, Syd and Bris and keep in mind that Sri Lanka have never won a test match in Australia. Why exactly does WI get 3 tests in Aus? Yeah but apart from against Bangladesh, the Windies haven't won a test away from the Caribbean for 7 or 8 years. Last year Sri Lanka won a series in England - a place Australia hasn't won a series since 2001.Sri Lanka have played in Melb, Syd and Bris and keep in mind that Sri Lanka have never won a test match in Australia.
It's just his OPINION Zinzan!!!Don't forget the umpiring conspiracies.
Congratulations to Sri Lanka, no they can harass England for a five test series.Yeah but apart from against Bangladesh, the Windies haven't won a test away from the Caribbean for 7 or 8 years. Last year Sri Lanka won a series in England - a place Australia hasn't won a series since 2001.
The reason NZ don't get top billing is because of TV rights, When tendering for the rights the markets in NZ and SL are much smaller.I presume we didn't get the main billing of the summer because it would mean back-to-back series' either side of the Tasman...but **** me it's hard to cop when this absolute rabble gets 3 Tests and Boxing Day billing, while we get the early summer then 2 Tests in NZ.
The market for NZ is smaller than the West Indies? You sure of that? I'm not poo-pooing it, it just doesn't sound right to me. And if bums on seats and local TV viewership are also a due consideration, well it's fairly obvious this side was always going to be a 3-day, uninteresting proposition. The reason NZ don't get top billing is because of TV rights, When tendering for the rights the markets in NZ and SL are much smaller.
great callwait, kraiggs average is 32? b-b-bbut talented young lad.
his feet really do go nowhere.
550 all out maybe. 580/4 though..Here's what I think:
1) Australian pitches are roads.
2) Australian batsman know how to ton up at will on said roads.
3) There was nothing wrong with the West Indies bowling when they gave up 500 to Australia in the first dig. 500 is a par score for an an Australian cricket team against any attack on a road at home.
4) The West Indies are a crass batting unit who can't even score runs on roads. I saw several dismissals today to nothing deliveries and the influence of scoreboard pressure.
5) If this series was in the West Indies the series would be competitive.
6) The West Indies are not a spent force and shouldn't take this series to heart.
7) India and Australia are at present the toughest countries in the world to tour.
almost half of those are true-ishHere's what I think:

Other remarks spot on, don't believe these to be the case. Here's what I think:

Adam Voges of all people who is destined to be remembered as a test match journeyman scored 269 runs at a SR of 94. I will repeat that for emphasis. A Strike Rate of 94.550 all out maybe. 580/4 though..
