Who likes the girl in the toga? I do.

This game's shaping up similarly to the last final, which Pakistan never looked like winning during their innings (regardless of what some commentators might say), although their run-rate's a little better this time around.

As I write this, Malik just holed out off Hogg. 5/74.

Pakistan have no one else to blame but themsevles. They lack Discipline. However, the game is never over until the last ball is bowled. They can still win it from here, but Patience is the key.

Unless they run out of patience and with Pakistan, that's more likely to occur.

I think the Yohanna and Razzaq Partnership will be the most crucial. Also Azhar Mahmood and Navan can probably have a solid partership. Dbout Afirdi will last long enough.

But one thing they might be happy about is that the team doesn't need Shoaib Akhtar to win since most players don't want him in the next tour against India.
I was pretty shocked by this. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the team rooms, just to know exactly what happened, and whether the Nation's article has any validity. It's been well-known for a long time that Inzamam had no time for Shoaib, but some of the names surprised me (particularly Butt's).

A good friend from Pakistan once told me that the Pakistan team is divided. Some players will try and get the captain trouble or try and screw things up.

Would be suprised if that division is playing here as well.

Afridi has actually batted with some consistancy this series..
agreed. I think he should been sent to open, since the side has some terrible openers going around. The openrers were worst then Afirid. If they can set a good platform, I am sure the Pakistan lower order can make a few decent runs.

I think Razzaq needs to be there at the end though

I don't think he should open, I think the reason he is actualy makeing runs is because he is batting in his right position..

as we speak he has been run out..

Its criminal for a hitter like afridi to get runout going for a measly single. No logic at all.
I don't think Afridi is the only one to blame. I think there's no logic to the whole teams performance. Example - The two openers and Shoaib Malik.

afridi should NOT open, he is in the right spot now...akmal should come below afridi, and another opener should come in in place of mahmood who was not even required with the ball today.

though i'd rather see mahmood playing in place of rao, as they are similar bowlers

I did say, Afridi might as well open the current openers are doing worse them him when he opens. Akmal should bat down the order as hitter.

Well,Mahmood can chip well down the lower order but if he is not required to bowl another batsman should have come in.

and as I write this...Mahmood is out

I sure hope that beamer from Lee wasn't deliberate because if it was, that's just about the worst piece of sportsmanship I've personally ever seen. And he's the supreme hypocrite because he was moaning to Koertzen when he got the beamer from Razzaq (which was, in my mind, obviously accidental).

More importantly, where was the captain when the beamer came from Lee?
