Akmal did get score a century against WI so maybe we shouldn't be so harsh, but playing WI is different to Australia. I can't see him getting a score against Australia, but have to wait another 30 minutes to find out.

You're dating a cricket fan?

You lucky...

I've had bad (very very bad) experiences of dating not only a non-cricket fan, but a cricket loather. It turned ugly last year when India were here. Very ugly
We're not 'together' as such (please don't make me explain it in front of the kids; you KNOW what sort of relationship I'm referring to, right??!?) but yeah, she loves cricket. I was going to offer a seat next to me in front of the teev but I didn't get that far in the conversation...............

She's not my girlfriend so it's not as if I feel compelled to suck up. She knows it too so I'm sure that will just make her madder. She can get as angry as she wants; she has no power! :D I would say (as George in Seinfeld) that "I have hand" but her comeback would surely be along the lines of George's gf in that episode; "And you're gonna need it, buster!"

There is a big difference between WI's bowling and Australia's bowling.

Hopefully Pakistan have realised that Kamran isn't suited as opener.
Well, considering how many innings Afirid played as an opener before they realized he wasn't a opener, I wouldn't be suprised if Akmal continues as an opener. Whatever happended to that Imran Nazir dude? He was a pretty dashing opener.

I think Yasir Hameed would have been a better option than Taufeeq Umer. He's more like a test player and when they should have played him (in the tests), they didnt.

Pakistan have used nearly a different combination opening batsman in nearly all the games they have played. I wonder if this is a record for a series ?

Well, if it is, then they probably have broken their own previous one.

Hoepfully Yohana and Malik realize that Razzaq, Afridi, Navand and Mahmood are stilll in the line up. They can still win it from here, but they need to take to the Australian's and set the platform.

It's shocking how most of us here thought it's Pakistan's bowling that's weak and batting that's strong. And that their weak bowling probably minimized their chances of winning, but they did their job and disappointingly it's their batting that failed :@

Reminds me of the 99 world cup final.

But one thing they might be happy about is that the team doesn't need Shoaib Akhtar to win since most players don't want him in the next tour against India.

They don't need Shoaib Akhtar/ They don't want Shoaib Akhtar. First two finals, they restricted the Aussies to less then 250 scores. That's a HUGE HUGE effort man.

THey don't need Shoaib .

And if Pakistan want to win, then these two have to build a big partnership around 100 runs to have a shot at winning this match. You can't depend upon Afridi to score big runs for you and Razzaq--he's more likely to score runs when he's scoring quickly or going for the slogs. And only a big partnership here will allow him to play in that mode.
