Just because you didnt like some of Davis's calls it does not mean they were bad, why cant you accept that.
Because i expect a higher standard of umpiring at International Level

It's not about not liking a call, it's about recognising a bad call. You obviously know very little about cricket if you can't recognise a bad call.
Either that, or you'll take any opportunity you can to denigrate subcontinentals and try to proclaim your view that you being an Australian are inherently superior to others.

Clear Malik's action on medical grounds, says PCB

The Pakistan board has requested the ICC to clear Shoaib Malik's bowling action on medical grounds. Malik was reported for his suspect action during the Paktel Cup one-day tournament in October last year, and hasn't bowled at all in Australia, but the PCB has suggested that the kink was the result of an accident which Malik suffered two years ago.

"The tests have shown that Malik was [involved] in a road accident two years back and as a result he has lost control of tendon in his bowling arm which is causing the problem," Shaharyar Khan, the chairman of the board, told Reuters. "We have asked the ICC to permit him to bowl again on medical grounds."

Malik has already undergone two rounds of tests at the University of Western Australia, and it's been found that both his regular delivery and his doosra have elbow bends which exceed the prescribed limit. However, Sharharyar maintained that the board was doing everything to ensure Malik got the permission to bowl again. "We have sent the biomechanic reports on Malik's action from the University of Western Australia human movement department in Perth to the ICC. We have also submitted the report of our committee on illegal bowling actions as we want them to clear his action at least before the tour to India later this month."

According to the current ICC rules, spinners are only allowed a five-degree flex, while fast bowlers can bend their elbows by 15 degrees. However, according to a new rule which has been proposed, all bowlers would be allowed a 15-degree flex.

Pakistan should have won this one.... It's not often you can bowl Australia out for a rather low total. Now I expect Australia to win convincingly in the next match. Pakistan just lacks the willpower and talent. But then again, doesn't everybody when playing Australia?

Afridi is a real crack up. He was playing like he had a bus to catch, or maybe he thought the run rate was 14 per over instead of 7.
A smart innings by him and pakistan would of won easily, yet the idiot tried to hit EVERY ball for SIX.
The waste of razzaq pretty much summed up pakistans waste of a win.

I predict they get thrashed on sunday.
I agree, all he had to do was hit a ball every over and go for some singles. No need to try to hit a six every ball.

Does January not count then?
I read a report or heard one on tv saying that votes were included for the 04-05 AB medal up to the aus-pakistan match that pakistan won. Knowing the media, whether that is true or not is a different thing altogether I suppose!!

Turns out the voting period is for February through January. So only the last few games of the VB series will count for next years AB medal.

In my view, Hayden should be brought back, probably down the order. Like someone said a while back, they havent even tried him down there. Surely he's got more value than just an opener?! And why is Katich at 7? Does anyone really trust him to come in in the last 10 overs and go for the big slog?!

And did Inzy really mean that Khalil had a dislocated shoulder? Or did he say the wrong word.. he appeared to be a little confused. Cant help but feel Salman has to go, as much as I like him. Not only is he offering nothing as an opener, but everytime the ball goes near him, I EXPECT him to do something stupid.

Hayden should come back... he's just too good to be dropped. Sure he has gone through a slump but expect him to get out of it soon. I say drop the fat cow Lehmann.

Your not frustrated cricket fans you are dim witted fools who have no idea what cricket is. But still the ICC makes money out of you and Tony Greig and co give you someone to look up to and having you increase the ratings allows us to get to see the cricket on TV.

Considering this is comming from an idiot, i take it as a compliment!

I don't think the willpower wasn't there in the last match, i think Pakistan played their hearts out.I had predicted that it would be a shameful defeat for Pakistan, but i was proved dead wrong by Inzi boys.

The only problem with the current Pak team is their upper batting order, Bob and Inzi should realise that Akmal is not good enough to open the innings, and either Malik or Younis should be the one batting at one down slot.I think if 2 out of firts 3 batsman had fired then Pakistan would have won the match with ease.

It is interesting to note that Pakistan was playing the onedayer without its 4 frontline bowlers. The second string Pak bowlers did a wonderful job for Pak. Yet i'm not sure if anyone of them would be able to retain his place when Akhtar,Sami,Shabbir and Gul regains fitness.Maybe Pak might stick with Rana, whose batting is improving day by day.

Yeh, I said that, and I also said "Why is Katich at 7". Absolutely rediculous.

I thought Micheal Clarke was a Bevan Clone.
:p
Not technically; more the way he can finish an innings.

Personally, I still don't see the connection. Clarke can hit out whereas Bevan was never about power and improvisation; he was about placement and timing.
