A real shame for the Windies, but a much improved - if very brief - bowling peformance from Collins and Bradshaw. Still not convinced about Dillon.

That is such a shame. WI fought the whole day and bowled well, even for a little while. I told everyone that Symonds would fail if pushed up the order, and it happened!

Pleasing effort there by the West Indies and 3 crucial points. Would have loved 5, but say what, 3 is better than nothing and I think we've made a point.

hmm Im guessing rested, Australian selectors aren't known for out right droping someone. they like to give excuses such as rests ect and then eventually they will never play again :D

Exactly, Simon Katich is still being rested from the Test team, right G_S? ;)

There really are some advantages to seeing ODI's played 3 hours in delay. When it rains for an hour during the cricket, it only lasts for one add break in Perth!

Symonds is past his prime I'm afraid, and I'm starting to wonder about Hayden in the One-Day form aswell. Might be time he stuck to test match cricket.

Symonds prime really lasted for a long time.........

 Don't count Hayden out yet! everybody has their bad trots

If Symonds is dropped from the OD side, I would struggle to think how he'd ever get back. Even if he played out of his brain for Qld, look at all the young guns doing the same thing. Justin Langer is a good example.. hes played so well in ODD and doesnt even get a look in.

wonder how long it will be before people realise that they are both FTBs. seriously symonds past his prime at 29?
What Im saying is, I doubt theyd drop him.

P.S. Forgive my ignorance, but FTB??

Second that notion, he has been a consistent player for quite a while, and yes he wouldn't get back in

Yep selectors are just waiting for the right oppurtunity to slot him back into the side
