Hinds got an absolutely appalling lbw decision. Really, sometimes you feel sympathetic to an umpire, but that was blatantly going down leg.
That decision was rubbish, pitched a foot outside leg and barely hit him in line with leg stump. Not the first one Parry's gotten wrong today either.

Did anyone see Brett Lee's howler on the boundary? lol...going at a snails pace straight between the long barrier for 4.

I really hope Mr.Parry never makes it to international level...he's a shocker.

yeah i was just about to come on and say the longer parry stays away from international cricket the better, isn't the lbw law something along lines of you have to be 100% it is going to hit the stumps? he could learn a thing or two from steve davis who i think is a very underrated umpire

It was probably going to hit the stumps, just that it pitched a foot outside leg which was the problem...

yeah that was the one i was more referring to - there was definately nothing certain about the hopes/hinds one though

Oh. In that case it was going a foot over the stumps.
I'm surprised at how well Dillon took it. Granted, it mightn't be the pressure-cooker environment of an international tournament yet, but I've seen people do and say much worse (usually to the umpire) in age-level cricket.

i'd say he's a brett lee fan and couldn't stand the thought of him finishing the match with only one wicket

Shaun Tait looks an interesting bowler to me. I believe at times he could be extremely dangerous, yet I also think he could also go for quite a few runs on other occassions.

Are Pakistan delusional? Surely they cannot send home their best performed, and most promising player?!

Their selection committee wanted to retain him but their idiotic captain and their English coach had other ideas and are of the opinion that Danish is of no use in Oneday team.

Well, if he WAS in, maybe they might have a chance of winning a match...

So their coach and captain have more of a say than their selection committee??

That's exactly what does happen...

towards the end of his career yes his shoulder injury affected him badly and he wasnt a very good thrower. but to say that he was worse than a snail on the field is absolutely ridiculous. was bevan slow in his running between wickets towards the end of his career? no he wasnt, he was still fairly quick.
and he was an excellent fielder for most of his career, except the last 1 or 2 years, something that you initially denied.

Do you really think I was serious about him being slower than a snail?...really!

Like parttimer said he has always had a terrible pair of hands, and has never been talked about in the same light as Ponting, Symonds and others.

Now, I know your in love with him as a batsman, but being a good/great batsman doesn't always equate to being brilliant in the field.

Considering (IIRC) it was the same umpire that denied him a blatant wicket when he had White caught behind.
