LOL, what a complete shower, lowest total in under 19 WC history. Well played India though, gave us one hell of a beating.

One of the best matches ever?

England fans will disagree maybe.
I really enjoyed even though we lost, there was never a dull moment and it looks like some of the Indian players are stars in the making.

Anyway what's Graham Swann on, there are no positives in this game to take, other than the opening few overs we bowled trite and the batting, well I have never seen anything like it.

LOL, England captain's face, priceless.

That break was a bit unfair, we manage to bowl our overs quickly and yet have we to spend 20-odd minutes in the field before the break which confused the batsmen how to play and once three wicket where down we were stuffed.

Why ali sent in Nelson as a pinch hitter in that difficult period is beyond me, the guy likes to play his shots and yet you put him in two minds wether to attack or not.

Hope most of these players don't make it anywhere near the senior england team, put a little bit of pressure on them and they crack like eggs.

Yep, it's the break that caused England to lose, right?

There was only one team that was going to win that game, regardless of a break. India outplayed and outclassed England by a huge margin and deserved to win.

Well Graeme White carried the bowling and the batting. He's the one positive.

When did India find Yomahesh and Ahmed from? I saw two overs, and was very impressed. Quite grateful I had a lecture at 12.00...

No read my post again

See the highlighted bit? That's saying that it was unfair to have that 20 minutes of play for getting through the overs, i didn't go "OMGZ WE WOULD HAVE WON IT IF NOT FOR THAT 20 MINUTES!!! BURN THE ICC!!!1"

Then i explain what the confusion was
Why ali sent in Nelson as a pinch hitter in that difficult period is beyond me, the guy likes to play his shots and yet you put him in two minds wether to attack or not.

That would suggest that the batsmen where having problems wether or not to attack, although i should mention the indian seamers took full advantage with pitched up accurate deliveries.

I said that because by watching the game you could see the batsmen had no clue what to do against bowling that wasn't handing out freebies.

Now i know there's an almost psychotic need in this forum to score points off each-other and belittle each-other opinions until yours is the only one left standing, but can you at least read the full post and not just scan the first two lines? :)

Well yomahesh has only played one first class game for Tamil Nadu and Ahemd 3 games for Assam so it's pretty much out the blue for many people.

I had a lecture at 11 but the bus didn't show until it was too late and seeing as it was history, i didn't fancy making the whole trip for half a lecture.

There might be something in that. Thoughts everyone?
My view is that all it shows is which players have developed quicker than others.

Just look at how many of these under 19s won't even make it in domestic Cricket.

I can't be the only one who thinks it's stupid to have 20 mins batting, then lunch, then the rest of the innings, can I? Whoever thought that up?!
Isn't it the same rule as in ODIs?

If by some fluke the 50 overs finish early, they get to bat before the break.

I've had this in an away school's twenty-overs game, my team faced two overs and then we went in for lunch. Straight after lunch a wicket fell - cunning ploy by the opposition.
