*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Batsman being dismissed the most times by the same bowler in Test cricket:

19 times: M Atherton by G McGrath
18 times: A Morris by A Bedser
17 times: M Atherton by C Ambrose
17 times: M Atherton by C Walsh
17 times: D Warner by S Broad
I find the stat somewhat a bit irrelevant as how many times did Atherton face Australia and the Windies and ditto Warner England.

Having checked it's still 40 times Broad hasn't got Warner out. (assuming Broad played every Ashes test Warner has)

this is a bit left field but... the amount of blokes getting hit in painful looking parts today... in 50 years has thigh pads / box technology really not evolved much.. like there's so much high tech materials and theee blokes are ****ing rich, so couldn't they completely cover their crotch area with nano tech grapheme by now or something? And maybe their head too actually

It’s improved exponentially

50 years ago, a thigh pad was made out of foam and only worn on one leg while a protector was cheap plastic

Man Marnus always seems to have crazy luck early in his innings. It's probably soft hands but it is uncanny how often the ball just doesn't hit fielders
