Well played Tomic. Didn't have to work for the last few games but he certainly earned it. Querry was bombing the serves down for a time there.

Love a game with players who have contrasting styles. Better than a mirror match all things being equal IMO.

Tomic match was definately one of the more boring ones I've seen for a while. Tomic basically did all he needed to, but nothing more. Looked like he was playing within himself the entire match and chose instead to make Querrey do the majority of the running around by frequently playing drop shots etc.

He is going to have to step up a few gears and play much more risky tennis though in the following round against Dolgo. The style of play he showed tonight simply won't cut it against players who aren't just serving machines like Querrey.

Nalbandian vs Isner finish soooooooo controversial

McEnroe saying Nalbandian was robbed by not being able to challenge an ace when he had break point because Kader Nouni said he took too long when he had overruled the linesman and Nalbandian didn't know it was he who had to challenge.

Nalbandian then absolutely mentally crumbled out of anger. Isner literally couldn't move before that lol.

Also mega  at Tomic's press conference. His reaction when asked about why he didn't enter the mixed doubles with Jankovic like he said he would was hilarious. Basically said "oh crap, I forgot to register".

Gold!

He's much more comfortable and relaxed with the attention he's receiving in the media now. Good to see.

This may be controversial, but I think Tomic is by far the more mentally stronger player out of him and Hewitt.

Hewitt is a fighter and he'll scrap but Tomic just has that calmness about himself on court. Really consider Hewitt to be mentally fragile.

Both ****s though ftr.
Not that controversial at all IMO, far less likely to see Tomic lose his **** over something like slow courts or disagreeable umpiring from what I've seen.

It's great that the Australian Open is all set up for a fascinating 3rd round match up:

Hate how they're spruiking the odds in the tennis now. It's infesting all sports these days and it's incredibly annoying.
