Ugh I do hate all this psychological bollocks they go on about.

It's like every single point is down to desire, superior focus etc.

Then of course you have all the fist clenching and histrionics.

Decided not to go for the run?

Murray's looking better now, reckon he should win it in 4.

...felt compelled to watch it....can go out tomorrow morning instead...:)

have to say tho, that after watchingthe first set,did seriously think Murray could lose ..was totally impressed by Wawrinka...

Reckon Wawrinka deserves to win this now. Serving has been excellent in the pressure situations and he has been making pretty much all the running.

Have to say the lights seem pretty good, doesn't really look aritficial. Didn't realise it had gone dark outside (it hasn't quite yet up here) until they cut to the outside cam

Just gone to do the typical English thing and made myself a cup of tea to see me thru to the finish...seems really weird to be watching a live game so late in the evening..3-2 to Murray ,Wawrinka just broke his serve tho...

Great game, well done to Murray in the end. Can't say I'm finding him any more convincing, but he should beat Ferrero in the next round and a semi is a pretty good showing (and he'll probably have a fair chance of winning it).

Really?

Reckon coming back 1-4 down in a 5th set when you were 2 sets to one up, in a French Open semi-final, suggests he's in better shape mentally than he was 2 years ago.
He's definitely improved, but on the evidence today he has the game to be up there with Federer and Rafa if he can start playing his best tennis on the points that matter rather than those that don't.

"This guy" is a seriously good player who has been improving for a long time. I'm a big fan of Murray, and he'll likely still get up IMO, but Wawrinka should not be underestimated.

For him to be paying $11 was ridiculous.
Completely agree. The commentators (and some of the writing in the papers here during the build-up to the game) were horrendously ignorant of Wawrinka's ability. The guy's quality, ***iest backhand in the game and very solid all round, but they treated him as Murray's next hurdle on the way to the final.

Hopefully Tommy can beat Djokovic for the second time in three weeks, a huge comeback from where he was a couple of months ago, hopefully he can keep up this form a little while yet and win a few tournaments.

Murray's had a wee moan about having to play under the roof. Wawrinka says he didn't notice any difference.

Serious circle jerking on the radio this morning about "Lleyton's showing that Aussie ticker."

Good god, come on Roddick! Can't stand this little skidmark.

Good win by Karlovic.

Hewitt dominating here. A break up in the 5th. Completely turned the match.

His mental strength in such situations is amazing. Commentary has been woeful at times though. Cheerleading at its worst.

Roddick vs. Berdych should be awesome.

Wawrinka paying $11 against Murray :-O
Yeah the commentary was pretty disgusting. Nine's coverage is a disgrace anyway. We wait for Footy Classified to finish at 11:45 so we can watch Hewitt on a delay of a few hours, and they decide to broadcast the rain delay in its entirety. Geniuses.

Still, so so so happy for Lleyton. This result pretty much puts him inside the top 50 for the first time in a long time so great news. He's gone close against Roddick a couple of times this year as well.

Agree with skd. Light was awesome.

Will be interesting to see how Azarenka goes against Serena tonight. She's the new star among the women and will get better and better. Last time she played Serena was the Miami final in which she won easily, however Serena in a Grand Slam injury free is a different kettle of fish.

Oh and just to draw out the Women's tennis haters again:
Sets appeal: beauty aces talent at Wimbledon

If true, pretty disgraceful. There is no way Gisela Dulko and Maria Kirilenko have 'box office appeal'. They're just lookers.

Be taking cough lollies on court with him soon, get some reverse swing happening on serve.
If he gets to that point, it'll be like Anakin finally turning into Darth Vader - his conversion to being English will be complete.

I hope he wins the tournament and has the whole of England claim him as theirs, before coming out to the awards ceremony with a blue painted face, a kilt and tells Centre Court that they'll never take their freedom.

Tennis needs a good heel turn. :(
