Ahhh bugger! Blake lost his way after the 2nd set. He really should have taken that. Was serving for the set, had a set point in the tie break. Damn!

Highlight of the match was Blake doing a 'come on' to Hewitt. Now that was GOLD!

Maria Kirilenko had a tough one against Kapros with a 5-7 6-2 6-4 score. She was leading 5-1 in 1st set and was serving for the set but lost 6 games in a row. She will now be playing Ivanovic in what will be a game of top upcoming players

Anybody else think an upset is on the cards against Mauresmo. Ivanovic has been superb in the last 4-5 months :)

Damn Sania was very good today especially in the second set and that forehand of hers was very good as usual :) . She definately belongs on the WTA Tour

Well he's a tennis player, not a model! If it was good enough to get me together with Bec off Home and Away I'd take the rat-look too.

He is actually as quiet as a mouse off court though :D

Some reports on Sania's match

Serena gets a slugfest from an unexpected source

Some Quotes

While Williams wrapped up the second set and the match 6-4, she was left impressed by the rising young star.

"I was happy with the match today because in the second set – I was getting girls who weren't giving me any pace – but today she was giving me lots of hard balls," Williams said.

"She definitely got up her game and maybe I made a few errors, but I served well today after what seems like forever." Before her customary theatrical series of bows to the audience, Williams gave Mirza some words of encouragement. "It was good to see someone from India for the first time do so well – and I told her to keep fighting," she said.

"I think she had a very solid game, she's so young, she's only 18 and I see a very bright future for her." Mirza was a wildcard entry into the Australian Open when ranked 197 in the world, which represented an enormous leap from a year or so ago when she was languishing in the mid 400s.

Sania expects grand reaction back home

Some quotes

"I didn't expect to get to the third round. When I got here I just wanted to get a good draw, which I did, but the best thing about it was that I was able to match Serena, in the second set," Mirza added after her 6-1 6-4 defeat.

"My goal was to be in the top 100 at the end of the year," she said. "I think I want to change that to top 50 now."

Also Gilbert reckons that Sania should be in top-50 within 12 months

Coria vs Ferrero first up at centre court. Should be good.

Also, Paes is playing in the Aussie open if I am not wrong and Navratilova is partnering some one else. Last year, when Paes had gone through whatever he did, Navratilova dropped out of mixed double events.

So why have they parted ways now because they did play well together..

Wow, I thought Toothless Tim's serve was rubbish - but Davydenko's is even worse.
Davyowhatever has won the first one though and if he serves better, could be more dangerous!
