He could be in big trouble. Similar thing pretty much ended Hingis' career. Granted is still very young, but 2 years (possibly) out of the game will do him no favour.

He'll also lose any sponsorship and possible prize money from recent tournaments.

Also a similar thing ended Petr Korda's career.

I know no one cares, but I have to say this.

Currently watching Ferrer vs. Monaco. Dead set cannot tell the difference between the players when they are in the middle of a rally.

Both wearing white tops, white head bands, black shorts and both have long hair. Game style fairly similar too (with Monaco being taller, but can't really tell from a wide view).

Ridiculous.

Trust Tommy to blow that match against Roddick. Just retire already, he's having to play the qualifying of these tournaments now surely he has nothing left to prove, hes not going to win a grand slam or probably even another tournament and I'm sure theres other things he could be doing.

the "rivalry" between federer and roddick continues....
Lol, you take a potshot at Roddick every time he loses to Roger.

He did take a set, which was a good effort. I didn't expect that, especially since its Roddick's first clay tournament for the year.

Rafa down 1-4 to Novak in the first set.

Have this bad feeling Djokovic will finally beat him on clay. Third time lucky after losing both the Monte Carlo and Rome finals right?

Come on Rafa! Lift.

yeah and federer is maybe half the player he was...i just see articles proclaiming each meeting as a potential roddick resurgence and get irritated...anyway i don't really hate roddick, just don't think he is the special player he is sometimes made out to be...he is a good player with one strong weapon and some impressive p.r skills which is actually the main reason for his strong popularity(plus the fact that he married brooklyn decker:))...

OMFG! Longest Masters Series match in history!

I feel so sorry for Novak, he played so so so good. Yet Nadal just refused to lose. JUST REFUSED!

I love both players, but I have to come up with this beauty once again:

*Waits for Uppercut to tell me that Masters match didn't mean much* :p

As long as you take it out on the media who perpetuate this hype, and not Roddick, its cool.

After the Wimbledon 2005 final, they asked Roddick about his rivalry with Federer, and he said something along the lines of

"its not a rivalry if I keep getting by butt kicked every match".

So he knows his limitations. Blame the media.

In fact, it was the longest best-of-three sets singles match on the ATP World Tour in the Open Era (since 1968). Wow.

"I'm taking positives [from] the last couple of matches we've played on this surface and the positives are that I'm one point away from the victory. I don't know, next time I’ll probably take two rackets on the match point. I don’t know what to do."

Poor Novak. :(

Seriously hate Fox, though. Broadcast most of the tournament live, and then with no other live sport on say **** it and put the final on a nine hour delay.

**** you Fox Sports.

Had to watch the match on the Bet365 live stream. Not the most ideal viewing.

Nonetheless...

ROGER :-O

Beat Rafa comfortably in straight sets. 6-4 6-4.

Rafa obviously tired from yesterday's match, and he has those knee concerns, plus the court hasn't favoured his playing style compared to Roland Garros... but still, well played Roger :-O

Good to see. Wonder if Rafa's odds for the French jump up a bit now with the injury concerns, and with Novak pushing him, and Roger beating him.

even beating a worn-out nadal is a tough ask, especially on clay...so good job federer! it's hopefully a start...
