Won more times than she choked though, although you could say that about most players...

Was still an awesome player.
Most definitely an awesome player, but her losses at Wimbledon raise eyebrows, that's for sure. Her loss to Bartoli in the 2007 semi-final, after winning the first set 6-1 and being a break up in the 2nd was unbelievable. Particularly since that was her best chance at ever winning Wimbledon, knocking out Serena in the quarters.

Then of course you have this:

Henin will go down as one of the great women's tennis players of the modern generation, but those that call her the Federer of women's tennis are well-off. Federer is amazing when in clutch situations.

For such a man tank beast, Serena Williams has quite a sweet voice, and a good advertising brain.
Haha yeah. But when Dittmar asks dumb-**** like "is what you're wearing sky-blue", he sets them up to plug their sponsor's branding.

She was partly taking the piss though.

Meh, won more than her fair share of majors/big matches though. Something that can hardly be said for the likes of Jankovic, Ivanovic, Sharapova etc. etc.
To be fair to Sharapova she has won 3 of the four slams and has won three out of the four finals she has played in. Ok she might not have dominated the way that some expected her to after winning Wimbledon at such a young age but she is still only 21. Puts her well ahead of her age group even if she can't yet be considered equal to the Williams sisters or Henin.

Genuinely shocked at how short-priced Tsonga is. Especially considering Verdasco's form.

This match is almost even-money for mine.

Love that Verdasco is finally turning his potential into results, win or lose this match he is showing he is capable of matching it with the best in the world. I've been waiting two years for him to turn in a performance like this tournament.

Yep you've been calling him for ages. Kudos.

His loss to Stepanek in Brisbane looked more like the final boost he needed. Was really good he got to face him again in the Aus Open draw. Spanked him, and lifted his confidence.

Hopefully he takes this out, as I couldn't help but get on pre-match at $2.75

It's about consistency. I think last year before Wimbledon I may have called him "Gonzalez version 2.0". He's always had a few problems getting lazy during matches but without doubt has the weapons to be right up there. Huge forehand, big serve, think he'll end up considerably better than Gonzo now.

Said it all along, would be awesome to see Federer win this title and then claim the grand slam record of 15 at the French Open.
Would love to see it, but short of Nadal's knees giving up the ghost I can't see Rodge touching the rat-faced Spaniard on the red stuff.

Yeh agree with that 95%, reckon theres enough quality youngsters coming through that maybe, just maybe someone like a Del Potro, Cilic, Verdasco, Gulbis, Almagro may take Rafa out by some miracle before Roger has to face him and then Rafa's conquerer wont have the big game experience to go all the way.

Yeah, the only way Roger will win the French is if someone knocks out Rafa before the final.

That or Roger hires someone to take out Rafa's knee caps with a hammer.

Still reckon Nadal will still find a way to hit the ball back for five hours.

Wow, Tsonga and Verdasco delicately poised at a set a piece with Verdasco a break up in the third...

Guess what? We're not going to be able to see the finish.

Channel 7's scheduling is a joke. Should ****ing play Tsonga and Verdasco before Dementieva vs. Navarro.

Lucky I can watch India vs. SL ODI.

Verdasco going 5-2 up in the third and looking in a strong position ...

..and takes the third 6-3...

Was just thinking, Dokic surely has the best on court demeanour going around these days. With the way most players carry on, it's amazing how she justs gets on with things.

Yeah I've been impressed with how Dokic has conducted herself in this tournament.

Verdasco takes it 6-3. I'm still backing Tsonga to win it in 5...maybe.
