Yeah this rain delay for Rafa is akin to his match vs. Soderling at Wimbledon (although that match went 3 days or something). Came at the right time, he'll re-group and will come out like a raging bull.

I'm impressed with Murray though. Always rated him (though never liked him). Reckon he may be taking the next step.

If he wasn't doing a great impression of Henman - getting break point after break point after break point and failing to take one, before handing his own service game on a plate then Murray would have won this by now.

Instead he's made himself second favourite again. Thank god he's a jock.

How was the game? CBF watching it.

Would to God I could have a career slide like Federer.

1 x grand slam semi loss and 2 x final losses in one year, with a final tomorrow and a possible win in the last one.

Must suck to be him, really.

Thought the match was really good. I'm sure Jankovic will still be gutted she didn't take the second set after being 5-3 and 40-0 up on Serena's serve. At least Jankovic was entertaining even if Serena was the better player.

Great to see Nadal out. Don't think Murray will trouble Federer too much though, especially now he's had what 3 or 4 days to wait for the final.

Have to hand it to the dour, hatchet-faced little Scots nightwatchman, first victory over the dislikeable Spaniard in 6 meetings & did it when it mattered most. One of the very few players I'm actually pleased to see him beat, in fact. Also fits a theory I read about the hard courts being Nadal's achilles's heel; his (already buggered apparently) knees can't take the greater pounding on the concrete.

Murray will need a v high 1st serve percentage to trouble our Rodge in the final; his second serve is gash. But at least he joins such luminaries as Bunny Austin, John Lloyd, Greg Rusedki &, er, that's it as losing grand slam finalists since a Brit last actually won one.

Saw the last 4 games of the womens final, and I must say despite the bit of fight she did show, it was a quality choke from Jankovic. She should have won that 2nd set with ease from the position she was in, and how Williams looked to be struggling. Such a shame that Henin has retired, because now there's just no-one who can match either of the Williams sisters in a mental battle imo. It's quite amazing just how good Venus, and moreso Serena are when the pressure is on. Sucks that they tend to come across as sore losers when they do tend to lose though, might actually find them likeable.

It was a very good match..One of the better women's finals one has watched in recent times.
well jankovic made it more competitive than i thought it would be, but for me there was never any doubt about the outcome of the match so it was kinda boring for me...

jankovic didn't go away quietly but all through it looked like she was trying to fight off a big swell that would eventually sink her...

yeah what federer has "suffered" this season would be fantastic year for most players...
