He threw up all over himself when he served for the match with that terrible approach straight back to Novak, and that double fault.

Appropriate they cut to Greg Norman sitting in the crowd as that was going on.
Heh, was thinking the exact same thing at that point.

I know there's a lot of people who really dislike Novak but I don't mind him. Yes he's a bit of a baby when the crowd isn't completely in love with him (ie Tsonga match and today) but I don't think there's anything too nasty about him as a person and the people who compare him to Lleyton are going a bit overboard IMO.

when he served for the 4th set you mean...he was 1-2 down at that time...anyway a qtr final showing is par for the course for a good but "nothing great" player like roddick, the semis are where the real contenders should be seen fighting it out...

It'll be interesting to see how the semi plays out w/ the crowd against Djokovic and Federer being the sentimental favourite (you'd think he was a vet who'd never won a Grand Slam.)

I think Djokovic should win, but it'll depend on how he feeds off the crowd.

really hope its a Federer vs Nadal final and Federer beats him.

Even though Rafa would still be world #1 it would be a nice way for Feds to say he's still here and he means business.

Btw, at 5-5 in the 4th set tie-break, how awesome were Novak's returns when Roddick was laying into every shot. Some of the best defensive tennis you could care to see.

roddick shoots off his mouth again, provokes a better player and gets whupped for his pains...good to see that the andy roddick "entertainment show" is done for this tournament, even for a partisan crowd, how pathetic was it to boo novak at the end....now federer awaits, if feds can bring his a-game into the match, should be a terrific semifinal...
When did Roddick shoot off his mouth for the record?

He made some wisecracks about Novak having 16 injuries a match or something like that.

Just saw Novak's response in the post match interview. Good lord, way to piss off a crowd who actually cheered him after the match. Would have no problem seeing him lift the trophy if only for the comedy factor.

the 16 injuries thing...based on novak's post-match interview, he was clearly angered and more energized for the match...reminds me of how he baited federer at the australian qtr finals based on beating him in a pre-tournament exhibition and said he was ready to take him on...he got absolutely blitzed in the match....feds was kind to the guy in post-match comments but was clearly more "focussed" on the match than usual because of roddick's comments...

feds in the final! he said in his post-match comments that he wanted rafa at the other end, but i don't know how honest he was about that...:)

I thought it would turn pear shaped for Federer when he was broken at the end of the second set (after breaking back and forcing a likely tiebreaker), but he was closer to his old self than at any point this year.
