SirBloody Idiot
Cricketer Of The Year
Roddick out in four!
to be fair most of women's tennis is about power, very little finesse(now that henin has also left the game, a fading mauresmo is the lone flag-bearer for that kind(read attractive) of tennis) and i hate the squealing, screeching, screaming and howling that most women(and even some men) tennis players indulge in...and it is not serena's power that disgusts me but her attitude on and off court and her intimidatory manner on court...she plays and behaves like it is a war out there and it's her against the world, the chips on her shoulder accentuated when some idiot shouts out racial epithets from the stands(which of course is pathetic but not an excuse to think the rest of the world thinks the same)...her ear-shattering intimidatory screams and her constant dissing of opponents especially when she loses are reasons why i almost never root for her to win...Was just playing Anil, relax, I know how much you dislike the Williams, or Serena at least
I will ask though, if Sharapova going out helps Serena, why does that disappoint you when she has a power game just like Serena? What's the difference?
for seles, it was a kind of high-pitched squeal or a grunt...and she used it to generate power for her shots on both sides, that is the case for most current players as well,...irritating to the other players, yes...but it was never intimidatory in nature...serena's on the other hand is an almighty scream, more like a war-cry and she is clearly sending a message to the opponent that she is going to take her down when she does that....watch how even the commentators comment on its intimidatory nature...Serena's screams are nothing compared to Monica's orgasmic screams, loved watching her play.
Serena disrespect to her opponents is just unbearable.
Nadal had to really fight for it in the 3rd set, wasn't really comfortable until he led 5-2 in the tiebreak.India's Sania Mirza out 9-7 in the third set
Mainly been watching Ind vs. Pak, but he came out of the blocks didn't he? I knew Gulbis had the ability to push Nadal in a set, but not take one.
Nadal taking the next 2 should be safe, but ya never know.
Brilliant stuff, sensational first set from the sounds of it and then another comeback from her opponent almost pushed it to three sets. I'm sure its just nerves so hopefully if shes in a similar position against Zvonereva she'll have learnt from her first two matches in that regard. And progresses through to the 3rd round, 7-6 in the second.
She was 3-1 up and on the verge of breaking a second time though but it looks like nerves got to her again.
yes....Ivanovic out. My bet on Venus and Serena is looking damn good now. Surely one of them will at least win it from here.
true...wish venus gets to defend and also wish they don't meet up in the tournament(are they on opposite sides?) because their matches are so awkward and devoid of proper competitive spirit....Hehe, not their fault any other decent women's tennis player is mentally weak as piss.
