Looks like Jadeja is getting a bit of turn.

Saw a bit of this lad live when he used to come over with his Kathiawar team. Always got the impression that while he was difficult to get away, didn't have sufficient penetration in his bowling.

Well, suffocating to death can be a winning strategy in LOIs though.

Yeah, he was actually pretty decent in his last stint and some of the bowlers picked ahead of him for this series are clearly rubbish at the moment but he's a bowler I've never really had any time for at all so I don't think there will be too many tears from fans if he just disappears.

And a drop off Jadeja. MOTM - telling you. :p
Hate his action when he hits the crease, looks absolutely horrid.

The run rate won't become a problem for England here at all unless they lose wickets. They're not going to be restricted out of this.
I know what your saying but you don't want to waste good starts and make life more difficult for yourself.

Honestly don't care if Munaf can't run, throw or make diving run-saving stops as long as he can bowl properly, but you can't go around dropping catches that like in international cricket. Not good enough.

LOL @ the umpire having a word. WTF.

Exactly, honestly hope Trott scores a 120 ball 50 in our win, how the hell can he put pressure on anyone with a modest target, by staying in??????

Surely getting out and making people worry about losing wickets would put more pressure.

Gavaskar and company are overrating Jadeja's bowling prowess, IMHO. It's commonly known in the Indian f/c scene that the guy isn't a superman with the ball. Tight at best and can nip out a few through sustained discipline. There isn't much more to him apart from that.

EDIT: Not a knock on the guy, but just putting things in perspective here.

All England need to do is take no chances and knock the ball around for singles and hit the bad balls for 4, simple in theory.

I don't think he's ever going to be a specialist bowler at Test level or anything like that but I do think he's a little better than what you're saying. Your post best describes Yuvraj or Jayasuriya and I think Jadeja's a level above that; he varies his pace nicely and, as he's shown here, gets enough revs to get some good drop and really turn the ball occasionally. I think he has a lot more ability to do a batsman in the air than the sort of bowler you're describing. Plus he's only 22; I think he has an enormous ceiling as a cricketer.

Not a tough drop that.

CK if you don't convert this start I'll be mildly irritated.
I wouldn't mind him getting out at all right now tbh. Much more faith in Trott and Bell to get the singles. We only need 4/5 an over against the spinners for 15 overs and we're all but home.
