Actually looking forwards to the game tonight. Probably because it's been a couple of months since England played an international - I know this isn't one but it's close enough, and it'll whet my appetite ahead of the India series. Wright only seems to have held onto his place over the past year or so simply because he hasn't had much of a chance to do anything wrong.

This is a shrewd observation. As a fairly one-eyed Sussex fan I'd love to be able to disagree with you, but frankly I struggle to see a place for him in the Sussex team let alone the England team itbt.

The fact that he's in ahead of Anderson just underlines the skewed priorities which T20 demands - ie some quick slogging is more valuable that wicket-taking bowling
