Excellent article. Seems to echo the feelings of everyone in cricket who doesn't stand to make money from this fiasco.
That post of mine was more in jest than anything else, but i seriously think that the incident is not only a bizarre one, but also a pretty shameful one, i mean what sort of a man would make one of the wives of a player who is playing in the worthless tournament of yours to sit on his lap like that, now that's such a ****ing disgraceful thing to do by Stanford especially considering so many people were watching it live.Haha, jeez, steady-on!
One of two people have alluded to it earlier - if some super-rich middle-aged guy wants some 20-odd-year-old women, he can pretty well have 'em - there's always plenty out there who'll throw themselves at guys like Stanford all day long. Doesn't need to hold a multi-million dollar cricket tournament to ensure such a thing.
In a word, no.I haven't been following closely - has this series generated the type of interest in England that IPL did in India?
Allott was quite defensive of Stanford tbfSuperstars vs Middlesex kicks off in 5 minutes. Flak in raining in on Mr Stanford's party from all sides at the moment, even Sky - who have been talking up the event for weeks - have just given Atherton and Allot the opportunity for some brutal criticism.
England are the biggest joke, have an opportunity to make so much money and all they can do is whinge. No one forced anyone to go. Sympathy? Lol.Surprised that none here have any sympathy for the English players.
Exactly my thoughts, though i feel for them in Stanford-WAG incident because that was something really embarrassing and no one deserves that sort of thing, but the English players are now making all theses complaints regarding the tournament, i mean as Gelman said its their and their board' fault, they should have made sure what they jumping into before signing a contract with Stanford, but obviously they were blinded by the thought of all that money at that time, but there is no point whinging about it now.England are the biggest joke, have an opportunity to make so much money and all they can do is whinge. No one forced anyone to go. Sympathy? Lol.
Spot on. You don't hear any of the other teams whingeing.England are the biggest joke, have an opportunity to make so much money and all they can do is whinge. No one forced anyone to go. Sympathy? Lol.
That's Stanford's thing. If you look at pics from games played a few months back just between Carribean teams, they're all black also.I wanted to ask this one thing, can anyone please tell me why have all the batsmen painted their bats black, that is so lame, what are they trying to achieve by doing that.
They're Stanford's own distinctive bats. He makes everyone use them for all of his tournaments.I wanted to ask this one thing, can anyone please tell me why have all the batsmen painted their bats black, that is so lame, what are they trying to achieve by doing that.
