Oh dear. Thank God we brought 15, else it'd be random bloke from the crowd...

Wonder if they'd be playing if it was the $20m day today?

"scene"?

Cook's T20 record is 50 runs @ 10 @ SR 89.28 - but his International record is marginally better with 24 @ 12.00 @ SR 96...

And when I mentioned "random bloke from the crowd", I'm pretty sure he ranked above Strauss in a list of who to come on and sub-field...

Can someone explain WTF is going on here?

Guillen clearly not out, Rauf doesn't give him out, he walks, and then he whinges about it... well that's what it looked like...

Well, given that Steve Harmison has just bowled a maiden, we're probably just in weird mode.

The incident, which involved the 58-year-old putting his arms around some of the women, was shown on the big screen at the Stanford Stadium and televised. A number of England players, in the field at the time, found the episode inappropriate. Stuart Broad, who was bowling at the time, said: "There were a few gobsmacked faces when it popped up on the big screen."
LMAO. Seriously, did he think in buying the players he was getting the WAGs thrown in as well?
 The rich old devil.

TBH, Id be annoyed as well
Mrs Prior doesn't seem too annoyed though.
Yeah, you'd think so wouldn't you.

This picture

makes it look like they're all finding it far from creepy though.

This whole episode is truly bizarre. All I can say is episodes like that are one of the rare occasions I think "I'm glad I'm not an England cricketer". Can't imagine what my reaction would be if my fiancee was involved in something like the above.
Newsflash: Unprecedented scenes as attractive young woman flirts with mega-rich old guy. World First.

Yeah, I mean - say that's my fiancee in the "VIP enclosure". I wouldn't particularly mind him having his arm around a couple of them, sheesh, people do that all the time. But having Emma Prior on his lap is poor form and gives the whole thing a totally different air. Apparently she's pregnant too.
Whatever floats his boat I guess

I'm sure they won't, but being rich and throwing your money about doesn't give you carte blanche to act however you want and, fortunately, Stanford seems to have realised this, hence his apology.
The last 200 years of western history pretty much suggests otherwise, but it was a ****ty look.

TBF, Allen Stanford's doing OK for a 58-year-old. And if he had a bit more hair, which was less grey-ish, he'd be doing even better.

If I look like him at his age, I won't be too unhappy. Sadly, I'm unlikely to have his money, at his age or any other.

Building up to a good finish, 28 wanted off the last three overs. First time I've managed to stay up for the finish too.

England win by one run. I was hoping for a tie, then we would have had the Stanford Super Over - a one-over-a-side game with a new toss...

Hmmm, yes - I didn't understand why we couldn't just have a tie though - not as if only one could go through.

Not a bad last over from Harmison I thought.

I hope the player's wives actually came up for some criticism as well, rather than just blaming Stanford.

If I was Prior, and my pregnant wife/fiance was sitting on a millionaire's lap on national TV, I'd sell her to him.
