I'm thinking there's a good chance he'l get to bat again this innings. Unless he's actually done serious damage to an artery in the neck, it's hard to think of something he's done thatl keep him from batting. He wouldn't be concussed nor need a runner

no way they should take even the slightest risk

I mean, I'm just curious if the hospital will basically say yeah, you did the right thing bringing him here but he's fine now. It'd either be very serious or nothing at all imo. Just a bruised neck potentially

Mentally he might not want to bat again, I suppose

Amazing to think that was the highest opening stand v Oz in Oz since 13/14. When was the last opening century stand Oz has conceded at home?

Yeah, pretty confident Karunartne will bat tomorrow. Anything related to the neck is always scary, but hel probably spend the night in hospital and be ready to pad up again tomorrow. Let's hope his concentration isn't ruined

Headlines are that he was released with the all clear from hospital.

Young puck had gone home for mental health reasons. Wish him all the best but it confirms the concerns a number of us had with him being selected so close to hanging a major mental health episode.

Didn't get to watch it today, had to suffice to listen to the radio. Seems like this is a track akin to the mcg - nothing at all in it for the bowlers. Except Lyon who bowled some ripping deliveries.

Today was a good day for good old fashioned channel bowling, exemplified by the dismissals of Chandimal and Denly.

DDS' has a great opportunity to shore up his shakey position in the team. Wish him the best of luck
