***Official** Sri Lanka in New Zealand

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Martin bowling first after tea. Bond will come on at the other end, I bet. Hence why Franklin was kept on so long.

Edit: Another LBW turned down. These umpires are really biased :p

One mistake, after a couple of rough LBW decisions that went against New Zealand.

Silva has played extremely well today, as has Sri Lanka.

The remaining three days (if it lasts that long) should be a cracker!

Amazing that only two days have gone by. SL should bat as long as they can, I think. If they bat for about 80 overs tomorrow, they should make the lead unreachable (550+), and still have two days plus change, and with Murali having two full days to have a go at the NZ batsmen...well I wouldn't want to be a NZ batsman.

With that said, if NZ can remove SL very very quickly and only have a lead in the low 400's...there is still plenty of time for an improbable win.

Agree NZ will still fancy their chances if the lead was 450 or less with so much time left in the Test , and the pitch really flat at the moment.

SL really need to bat out the first session and add another 150 before any declaration.

The weather forecast , from what I have heard is pretty good. So there will be cricket all the way without any interruption by weather .

Not Surprising that the umpires again victimise SL
Have to really feel sorry for Mahela , particularly as he looked to be in real good nick and was trying to build a decent innings after his low scores in the previous Test.

The pitch isn't going to bother Malinga, is it? Straight into the base of leg stump...

Just seems a waste of time when the yorker on its own is likely to get him out.

Fancy that, Silva gets a pair on his debut, then does that.

Good on the selectors for having faith in the kid.

Played well didn’t he, thought he was far too loose in the first innings and pretty much used every single piece of luck he had in making his fifty. Was all out sea for the first twenty minutes or so but two fifties and chance of converting it to a maiden ton later on tonight, good stuff.
