As I said, Styris isnt the problem.Like you said, Styris has had a fantastic year with the ball. And I'm suprised Cairns was allowed 8 overs, while Styris got only 1.

Three wickets in 47 matches for an average of 67, and an economy rate of exactly 6. Clearly not good enough to be 6th bowler IMO.How is actually quite a handy off break bowler, and has done well for CD performing that job. If he develops that side of his game, he could prove a valuable option for the World Cup where the wickets will be slower, and also for games in the sub continent.
and Ming....you guys problem is what exactly?dinu23 said:oh great! the poohead is back!
Fair enough, Mate. The Maestro said:I didnt copy sh*t from that idiot....just an observation on how they appeal
I was looking at the bowling side of things - going at over 6 an over in 3 of those 4 games.Blaze said:He has contributed well in 2 of his 4 games since his comeback so why would we want to do that?
Doesnt work for me. I log in and interactive video highlights doesnt work it shows a sample innings and doesnt show any games who knows why not if it works for everybody else.zinzan12 said:If anyone wants to see the boundries and highlights of the game (and the chappell/Hadlee series for that matter) you should go to ........ blackcaps.co.nz and join the 431 club which is free and offers video coverage.
NZ can be quite inconsistent at times, if they are chasing and lose a few cheap wickets (which happens twice a season at least) they need a supersub who can come in and steady the ship as well as bowl and I feel that in the meantime Astle is the best option Bracewell has, but with a bit of work on his batting Franklin could move into that role by the world cup.Ming said:But do we really need a specialist batsman as the super sub? Like the situation yesterday, Astle was a clog to the innings because we already possessed enough batsmen down the order. I would rather have an attacking batsman like Adams to strengthen our lower order.
Well, if Cairns is the supersub and one of our 5 bowlers is getting pasted we can always sub Cairns on for a batsman.Prince EWS said:Styris bowling 10 isnt the main problem. The main problem is that Jamie How is the 6th bowler. Had Astle or McMillan still been in the side, it would be perfectly feasable to use this plan, but How as the 6th bowler is disasterous IMO.
I could definately see Bracewell going into a game with Styris as 5th bowler. He is definately good enough IMO. There needs to be an adequate 6th bowler to do so though, and there isnt one in the side at the moment.Ming said:Cricket is not all about stats, How is a handy bowler, but like I said, he needs to develop that side of his game more and if he can he will be a valuable option. I don't think Bracewell will ever go into a match with Styris as the 5th bowler.
thank you...and Ming, reading and comprehension not your strong point? Please show me where I called the Sri Lankans "monkeys". Sheesh your as bad as Ntini freaking out over Warnes "Blackman" commentJASON said:Fair enough, Mate.

You have a fair point about appealing mate. The Maestro said:thank you...and Ming, reading and comprehension not your strong point? Please show me where I called the Sri Lankans "monkeys". Sheesh your as bad as Ntini freaking out over Warnes "Blackman" comment
its people like you MING who desperately look for racism where there is none who are the racist ones themselves
JASON--spider monkey below ....their chattering sounds similair to Sri Lankans appealing imo, thats all I was saying
At the top of the order he has struggled to get into double figures in the past few months - Hence as Captain he shrewdly put himself down the order .The Maestro said:Why is Attapatu batting down the order these days? If anyone has the technique to counter the seaming/ bouncing ball and get SL off to a have to a half decent start it would be him?
I think the pressure on him to get some runs will be made all the more worse if he continues to stay at the top of the order and will end up in a very vicious cycle and quite possibly see the end of his International Cricket career.dinu23 said:I like ur line up, but Sanath will never go down the order.
