I agree with bringing in Adams - for Mills, who was just a passenger.

But Macca?!!! The guy turns the dial from genius to idiot every time he steps up from FC to tests. I would be happy if he never played for NZ again.

And who would Macca he replace? All except Cumming had one good innings. And Macca isn't gonna open. How or Fulton (unfortunately out of position) for me.

The Kiwis selectors seem to be pretty conservative and if Mills gets dropped (which he should) it would most like be for O'Brien unless they change the current policy overnight.

Tuffey is still injured i think, Mills was quite economical in comparison to the other bowlers in the NZ side.

BTW Jason i had a look at the past scorecards for games at the Basin in the '00 and there have only been three games where spinners dominated, the game aganist RSA, one aganist England and Australia in 2000/01. The rest of the games quicks have taken majority of the wickets, Vettori's averages their is 43.8. With that being the case i would drop Chandana and bring in Shantha.

I would drop Chandana and bring Maharoof . (I am sure he can be just as good a bat as Shantha Kalavitigoda , if given a chance !!)

I would not give him the added pressure while he is still developing, only other options include Macca (captained Canterbury quite a few times now), Marshall (occasional captain of ND)

I think it is too early in his career to try and play Maharoof as an all rounder, we made that mistake with Lokuarachchi. Maharoof only averages 19 in FC Matches and has only scored one 50 to date, not enough to bat at 7 in Test. He scored runs in U19 but that is no where near Test Cricket, it is too much pressure on a young guy to play him as an all rounder, let him make his way into the team as a bowler.

I am just sick of ur bull crap about umpires. If Sri Lanka were gud enough they would have won the test. As it was it turned out to be a draw which was a fair reflection of the overall game played by both teams
