Dougie isn’t a terrible pick based on recent form, but he is a terrible pick based on the fact that he is yet another white, 30-something with a very average first-class record (and worse test record) and the right connections. As someone said earlier, “his face fits”. And I want to see some different faces please and thank you.
Erm. Pretty sure Doug Bracewell has Māori whakapapa.

Yeah I think most people would get behind this.

Malinga having such a short and meh Test career compared to his boderline ATG white ball bowling would make me consider Ravi Ratnayeke ahead of him but I can't imagine that would be a popular choice.
If Fernando keeps up his good start he's a chance for Malinga's spot.

Karunaratne must be close to being an opener and Prasanna Jayawardene is their best ever keeper.

I assume the spell will be over now with the new ball due after this over, but Mitchell should definitely bowl that **** more often.

Danny Morrison must be in the all-time list for most disastrously missed wickets

Haha, I remember after nz went 1-0 up in that 94 SA tour, the umpiring became…interesting for the remainder of the series. That turned lbw shout at the end of the video was pretty par for the course.

It isn’t vintage Matthews, body looks completely shot, but he still knows how to score runs in NZ. Averaged just the 250 last time he toured.

Fair.
