***Official**** Sri Lanka in New Zealand 2014/2015

International Captain
Why? Sri Lanka have two fantastic allrounders.
And they will have to bowl 10 overs together. Malinga's 10 would have to be bowled by a specialist.
There is an argument for Angelo bowling 10, but it's not happening he barely bowls 5.

One over and NZ are favored on Betfair.. Chameera not looking like a savior anymore now is he?
Well you can bet SL are back as favourites with that Ronchi wicket.

Lovely bowling Kulasekara, I could understand his frustration shown in the send-off

****ing lol. A Sri Lankan fast bowler giving someone a send off after he's pumped you around this over, and series. How embarrassing.

Do we all really think Gup is gone as far as the World Cup XI is concerned? I'm not so sure.

Yes, on form, without a squad named, he'd be out - no question. But at the minute, the only viable player to replace him - without a bona fide or made-up injury - is Latham. And honestly, if I was to pick an opener for the team to save my life tomorrow, I'd go Gup over Latham. At least Gup has a strong body of work behind him, including Eden Park.

Your only other options are moving Kane or Ronchi up, and both are performing their roles far too well to mess with the balance of our side.

I don't know what you do with him technically, mentally whatever...but I guess you hope like buggery he keeps loving Eden Park, scores runs v Australia (as unlikely as it seems) and finds some belief.

You clearly missed Hendrix posting that Latham may not be ready for ODI cricket.
Guptill remains the incumbent.

No no, I saw that - I was halfway through a 'I admire a man who can admit the error of his ways' praise-type post for the man, but then my tea was ready.

I just wondered where everyone's head was at, and to be fair they probably articulated that earlier. So I find myself surplus to requirements.

I can't recall anyone seriously suggesting Guppy shouldn't be in the XI for those reasons you've provided.

The only hypothetical raised was if Latham got back to back hundreds as opener while Gups continued to fail. Obv that hasn't happened.

State Captain
Latham may come right but he shouldn't be n the squad at this stage of his career. They should of given Neesham a decent chance at the top, they were talking him up as a opener but only gave him 2 games against Steyn, Philander and Morkle.
