I remember before Craig debuted, BackFootPunch made a post about how he was "an allrounder at every level except First Class cricket" which gave us some insight into his batting pedigree and how seriously he took it; rightfully he batted eight in the Tests as a result of that. I think it might be time to revise that now though; he can seriously bat. He tonned up in the Plunket Shield between Test series too; I don't think he'd look out of place batting six at that level.

Mathews is Sri Lanka's second best fast bowler after Eranga. He can actually hit the spot 6 out of 6 and get a bit of movement when conditions suit. I was surprised he didn't bowl more than he did in England since England should suit him. He was good whenever he did bowl.

I was rooting for him to move to #6 for Otago when it looked like he would be dropped in the UAE.

I'd definitely like something from the last pair. Sub 450 after McCullum's heroics yesterday would be pretty disappointing.

How easily the tail rolled over kinda shows that it's not an easy pitch. They couldn't just play the line, there's plenty in it.
