Dar. :notworthy

Think that's an awesome decision, just clipped the pad IMO.

EDIT : Snicko says there's an edge though, strange. Thought there was definite daylight as the ball passed the bat.

They need to show the bat in the first frame so you can see whether than little tiny white mark was there beforehand.

It's seriously close. So it's down to how much evidence the third umpire wants before he overturns. Reasonable descison, but you have to say it's kind of unfair to lose a review when there's so little in it.

Are you lot, Doctrove, and the commentators blind? Not a clear hot spot but something definitely appears. If Doctrove hasn't got good enough eyesight to see it he shouldn't be in the job.

And surprise surprise snicko...

Was it clearer than the one where Sanga did get given out?

Whats annoying is, ****s will genuinely use things like this as an argument against UDRS. I don't need to explain to you all how flawed the logic is in that but there you go.

perhaps they should make a rule that if the decision to refer was later shown to be correct based on more information, the loss of the review shouldnt stand. so noone is penalized. the ump is shown to be right based on the evidence at hand. and the referring captain does not also suffer.

To me, I heard a definite noise on real-time, but unlike the Sanga case, there was the possibility of the ball hitting the pad. On the replays, I thought I could see some daylight as the bat passed the ball, but could be mistaken of course. Also, TBF to Doctrove, I didn't see enough evidence with Hotspot to overrule it.

Nothing to do with DRS, It was a tough decision for Dar, I can understand why he didn't give it out. Hot-spot showed a tiny, faint edge. Other replays showed the bat was nowhere near anything else. The DRS worked perfectly.

Doctrove screwed it up.
