The 'Roof, the Roof, the Roof is quite direI see the Roof is in the Lankan side today - that brings back happy memories of 2011
I'm more thinking that it hasn't looked like it's come on to the bat much in the last 10 overs. Very little properly timed.Yeah agree, it is a flat pitch but the ball swung a bit early on and 280+ is never an easy chase.
Woakes definitely suffers from being a jack of all trades, even more so as a bowler than he is as an allrounder, not quite a death bowler and not quite a swing bowler. I'm not sure which discipline I'd rather he improve but a hefty move in either direction would answer a few questions. Not sure about the balance of this bowling attack - obviously not having Stokes available massively affects that.
None of these guys are natural death bowlers, even if all of them seem to have improved on that front.
You could add further to that. How many times will a commentator point out that he's "quicker than he seems" or "deceptively quick"? Oh how much better served he'd be by being just "quick".Woakes definitely suffers from being a jack of all trades, even more so as a bowler than he is as an allrounder, not quite a death bowler and not quite a swing bowler. Still, from what I saw I think he did well today.
The fact that it went to square leg should've been a clue. I can't imagine how it would have got there if he didn't hit it. One of the worst reviews I've seen.YOU ALWAYS KNOW IF YOU'VE HIT IT kjbfkfkabkcuab
Missed it (watching the Barbados match). What happened? The fact that it went to square leg should've been a clue. I can't imagine how it would have got there if he didn't hit it. One of the worst reviews I've seen.
Hales got an inside edge onto his pad so thick that the ball ballooned all the way to square leg, and he reviewed it.Missed it (watching the Barbados match). What happened?
That really sounds like it didn't happen.Hales got an inside edge onto his pad so thick that the ball ballooned all the way to square leg, and he reviewed it.
