I think the batsmen have done really well against some tough bowling since the 4th wicket. Not many runs scored, but the ball is almost 40 overs old now. And sure enough, the boundaries are starting to come against the older ball.

Well that's that for Mulder. Almost on par with Harmer as a shocking selection. If he can't bat in the top six he shouldn't be picked. Until then he can stick to county bashing.

It wasn't actually deliberate, but I'll take it. I still think they'd done well to survive a dozen overs against this bowling, and life should be easier for the remaining batsmen.

But not for Zondo. Ah well.

why is that it for Mulder? Does he not even get a series to try get accustomed to international cricket. Or is he only allowed one test per series after the team batting lineup consistently collapses and meant to fix everything in your mind or else be dropped again?

Tough one for Zondo... Being hit above the roll. Given out more for how it looked than anything else. Clipping for heights are not traditionally given, but thems the rules.

35 in actual franchise cricket and much higher in the last few years... And the way he batted in this test showed why he's there. He batted with far better discipline than any other batsman in the top 6.
