*** Official *** South African Domestic Season 2019/20

I would much rather be watching the Momentum Cup than these pointless SA T20 games.

And why they can show every level of rugby on Supersport but struggle to show domestic cricket is unknown to me...
So frustrating. The Australia series starts right after this too and now that they don't show any domestic T20 cricket they would have hardly had any domestic cricket on Super Sport this season.

SA U19 WC squad member, Jack Lees (St Johns - school of Bruce Mitchell, Clive Rice , Devon Conway and other recent SA U19s brad Dial and Conor McKerr) has been signed by Tuks and debuted for Tuks 1 yesterday.

Tuks 1 team yesterday pretty decent.

Modiri Litheko (2000) Cornwall Hill
Jandre Pretorius (1999) Waterkloof
Dian Forrester (2000) Affies
Sean Gilson (1999) Michaelhouse
Ruben Hermann (1997) Waterkloof
Donovan Ferreira (1998) Pretoria Boys
Jack Lees (2001) St Johns
Gideon Peters (1999) Waterkloof
Ruben Trumpelmann (1998) Affies
Bonga Chepkonga
Jared Goncalves-Jardine (1999) St Davids

Ruan de Swardt rarely plays for them these days. Not sure where Jiveshan Pillay is these days. Really liked him for SA U19s.

Delano Potgieter 66 off 37 balls. A serious player that struggles for a run of games at franchise level. Good too see this. Only thing is, where does Mulder and Parsons get opportunities.

That's a hell of an exciting Cobras team. Malan, Hamza, Bird, Verreyne, Ntini... And that's ignoring the guys on the bench.

Will it be on SuperSport?

Busy watching/listening now. ... and shock van Jaarsveld struggled to make his ground with a quick single and is run out!
Vaughn has been a great domestic servant but last game I saw him he was struggling to run between the wickets. There are bigger men than him who run better which is the concern.

They probably still reckon he has boundary-ladden hundreds still in him.

They reckon he is an experienced player... etc etc etc. He is the sort of player I struggle to see as part of a solution to the future of SA cricket. His weight and fitness is an obvious issue, which he has done nothing about, which shows a lack of professionalism. Why should he be in the team? I understand the problem with the quota system but that does not explain him over somebody like M. Ackerman.

Cobras XI outside SA (following on from Basil d'Oliveira, Allan Lamb, Jonathan Trott , Michael Richardson (son of Dave) & Craig Kieswetter, James Cameron-Dow (Ireland)) - probably missing a few here.

1. Richard Levi (Northants)
2. Ricardo Vasconcelos (Northants)
3. Stiaan van Zyl (Sussex)
4. David Bedingham (Durham)
5. Justin Broad (club - played for MCC Young cricketers & Derbyshire 2ndXI)
6. Murray Commins (Ireland)
7. Vernon Philander (Somerset)
8. Travis Muller (Wellington)
9. Daniel Moriarty (Surrey)
10. Brandon Glover (Northants and Holland)
11. Michael Cohen (Derbyshire)

Just found out that Murray Commins (son of John) moved to Ireland to pursue his cricket career : https://www.buryfreepress.co.uk/spo...-talents-sign-up-for-bury-st-edmunds-9058829/

Graham Ford is very busy.

Vaughn van Jaarsveld has got 1000s and 1000s of runs behind his name. He has proven he is dominant at this level.

For example I would rather chose him over Sibz Makhanya and play both VVJ and Ackerman.

He must be judged on his performances and fitness now which is probably starting to fall off the hill but I reckon he has done enough to be carried a little at this level considering his career ?

Good stumping that. Dolphins collapsing... You guys better get home if you want to watch any of the cricket!

Seen the last 2 wickets. It is the reason they have been playing all of Erwee, Roelofsen, VVJ and Ackerman so Dupavillon has missed out because Frylinck is good in limited overs cricket. But Ackerman not put the runs on the board so they playing both Frylinck and Dupav.

Really interesting that Zondo is playing. Looks like him and Dolphins have reconciled.
